With this new dlc, is it beneficial to have the character ur playing level their own crafting skills? Especially with scaling nodes and bound motifs/mats such as the laurels.
My main toon has over 180 skill points into crafting. I'm a master crafter with nearly all gear items researched to nine traits, plus most of the rare motifs. I am able to do all this while still having plenty of skill points for all the skills I use, including passives. Why anyone would create a new character simply for crafting purposes, and having to log on and off, back and forth just to craft gear, is beyond me.
Every single one of my characters gets points put into crafting altho they are not all actual crafters in that they don't learn traits or put points into improvement boosts.
It's just too handy to be able to do decon on each one and just toss the mats in the bank, now it's paying off in Wrothgar.
I simply level them as they go thru by decon mostly and feed lowbies higher level glyphs my vets gather from mobs to decon for the Enchanting skills.
Alchemy is easy enough to level using all the "trash" ingredients, you just need the highest level water you can use.
Because they all gather and decon as they go I have stacks of mats and improvement items stored and sell what I want to when I need gold.
Of course, I've been doing this for a year and a half, now
