You've got regular mobs that give a regular amount of xp, but then there's...lesser(?) mobs that give a vastly reduced amount of xp (like 25% of a normal mob). I'm not suggesting a LOT of xp for harvesting a node; harvesting a node could give like, 1/10 the xp of killing a regular mob. I don't think that's unreasonable, since harvesting ten nodes takes significantly longer than killing a single mob, even with the quick-harvest passive.
The only reason I suggest this is that while the game is marketed as "play how you want", those who choose to spend time crafting/farming are shafted on xp. You currently get xp for opening chests, which are a sort of node in their own right; I doubt 1/10 of a regular mob's xp per resource node is going to "break the xp bank", as it were.
Thoughts?
