While vMA is meant for "hardcore" players, and those with the top of the line end-game gear, and near-max or max champion points... It's still somewhat easier on PC/Mac than it is on console. I've completed the vMA with my sorcerer no problem on the PC/Mac version of ESO, but on console (PS4)...? It's so ridiculously hard.
In fact, it's not even actual difficulty. It's an "artificial difficulty" per say. It's the amount of damage the trash mobs are doing, whilst also trying to deal with the boss/mini-boss at hand. So, it's not a "L2P" issue. It's a "artificial damage" issue. Not even my sorcerer can do it (on console). Neither with pets, or pure DPS caster. Why? Because of the lack of information given. On PC/Mac, you have add-ons which provide information of certain important things. On console, there's none of that. You're just expected to know when, and go from there. Playing "blind" if you will. Or... Maybe in the developer's eyes, playing how it is meant to be played.
This is ridiculous. How do they expect console players to do this? Granted only 1 person has done it so far on PS4, and from what I've read on the forums a few have on XB1. But, you have to ask them just how close it came to them doing it. As well as how many champion points they had. And yes, it's true. There's no rush to do it immediately. And yes, this is something which is meant to be gotten only for the "hardcores". But... There's no other way to get the Maelstrom Arena weapons. So, please Zenimax. Tone down the monster damage. Not the amount of adds/monster. But, the amount of damage they're doing. Because, I'm having a very hard time to keep track of every single thing going on with no add-ons. And apparently, many others are as well that I've spoken with. And also, it's apparently a problem for people on PC/Mac as well (although I have no issues with vMA on PC/Mac due to my high champion points and key information being given to me about what's going on).
TL;DR Version: Mobs doing too much damage, and no way of knowing truly what's going on lack of add-ons), make vMA semi-impossible for console players.

^This. ZOS really needs to stop game testing the difficulty on pc and start test and using the console as the standard. For myself(as a Templar healer) the console general dungeon difficulty is signficantly harder.

@Justice31st u do realize if stuff wasn't tested for pc first, then released to pc where we can hash it out and find out what's broken via addons so we can call zos out on it, console players WOULD NEVER KNOW if something wasn't working properly?
You are welcome for our sacrifice ^_^
P.s.
PC has controller support now......come to us we have addons. Bring your chosen controller too

So what you're really saying is that vet MA is very difficult on console, but it can be completed by some players. Seems like that level of difficulty/challenge is the whole point of a game feature like vet MA.
If some players can do it, that means you can too given the right combo of gear, CP, knowledge of the mechanics, etc.

Nope nothing, they seem to be ignoring that request
I agree with buff tracks being essential, since my console to PC transfer I find myself using some buffs far more often and others far less, I used to constantly be using structured entropy because I didn't know if it was still up, but now I don't use it half as much
Where as short time buffs like channeled focus I use much more know I can see when it expires, knowing when to execute is also a huge dps buff too.
The single best one is seeing empower up, I can actually see if it's active and use the correct skill with it, as opposed to agsin, guesswork.
Guesswork is not fun in a competitive mmo

you think every hardcore console gamer spending countless hours trying to complete vet maelstrom hasn't already steadied this and watched it all the way through more than once? lol
for real OP is right. once you have 501 champion points yeah its doable on console but still really hard. So what this means is basically only pc transfers get to complete vet maelstrom on ps4 and maybe 5 other players TOTAL.
its bs to put out a vet arena not completable by a competent vet 16 in maxed gold gear with 200 plus champion points on the ps4 right now. JUST MY OPINION. I will be clear. A VET 16 with 200 champion points wearing gold v14 martial knowledge maybe not. But one wearing gold v16 with all gold glyphs with a good race for the build and good skills should be able to get through it. 300 champion points and more should be just making it easier.
I seriously hope this is bait lolDRXHarbinger wrote: »Add ons are noobish imo. Plenty of people on console have destroyed the arena now without these pointless things cluttering up our plasmas. Dymence has over 230 Champion Points, I believe hes' at capschwarzman1 wrote: »

Funny because the first deathless run on pc was by a guy with 230 champion points.

Dymence got no death on PTS, then I think My Heart For Cuties (templar) got it on day 1 live, then cascaid (sorcerer) got it, then a few other sorcerers a day afterDymence has over 230 Champion Points, I believe hes' at capschwarzman1 wrote: »

Sure he said that he only had 230 active? Or was it someone else that did a deathless run? I just remember people saying in a thread how much easier it would he with 501 cp then he showed he only had 230ish
