Mercenary heavy armour - the only chainmail-style armour at higher levels?

From the screens I've seen, it seems the Mercenary heavy armour is chanmail-style even at the highest level? If so I might seriously consider replacing my Nord heavy armour... (Nord armour looks very Chainmail-like at the lowest levels, but not at vet15..)

    Heavy Orc has some chainmails on it too. But they are under the plates.
