First off before I even start, I AM NOT asking for Maelstrom Arena to be nerfed.
I see a lot of threads about what skills are needed to complete this with ease and I can't help but ask
Why in an expansion that is geared toward the solo player would you require skills from Undaunted or Alliance lines to complete this easily, or at least more easy than without them?
I can tell you my VR16 Stamina duel axe wielding DK with about 200 CP is going nowhere in this arena. I tried Normal first and did fine. I got to 5th boss and had to take a break so I thought fine when I come back I'll just go straight to Vet mode. Ha,, Can't even get past the first boss. After about 10 tries I think I got him down to about 2/3 health. Now I'm sure I won't have as much trouble with my templar since he has been a better fighter since he was VR8. Like I said I'm not asking for the arena to be nerfed.
What I'm asking for is something along the lines of battle spirit, something that only applies to Wrothgar. What I'd like to see is a stop to the favoritism of certain play styles. Make something that is in effect as long as you are in Wrothgar that makes the Undaunted and Alliance skill lines useless by nerfing the heck out of those skills as long as you are in Wrothgar. Then lets see how tough it is. I have no doubt I will complete it as is, but I would like to see an even playing field. If you are going to do something to kill my solo build in PvP then it is only fair you kill the PvP build in Solo.
