Aw, thanks. Yeah, after it happened some others said they had lost primal motifs and some had to redo dungeon bosses. People are losing a lot of time and valuable gear to this. Saying it'll get patched in a few days is just being too calm about it imo.And this is what happened to me and a friend today. So we weren't the only ones.
We were grinding in cracked wood cave on our alts.
We just came from cropsford after we have sold all the dropped items.
I drank an exp potion right before we have started and we grinded for like 20 minutes.
Then the server crashed and when we logged back in, I was outside of cracked wood cave and he was in.... Ailk'r Desert for some reason. However all the items from the monster that we have looted during these 20 minutes were gone, just like the armor durability was still at 100%, but my exp potion was no longer in my inventory and I've reached a Cp rank, which also reset.
Never had this before, very weird and annoying. So I hug you honey boy.
I know, but I really wanted those boots as a symbol of my first epic motif drop, and now it's goneanitajoneb17_ESO wrote: »It's only a game... but HUGS anyway I understand your frustration.
On that premise, we may's well not play until after the patch, because we might just lose everything we've worked hard on before then anyway.
Probably for the best. I had heard about the roll backs, but it hadn't affected me until now, so I went for it. Now I wish I had of waited like you.Yeah, I haven't played for a few days. I'm going to wait until I hear that the random disconnects have been patched. Right now, the game just seems too unstable to play, too frustrating to enjoy.
We'd need some kind of insane funding for the amount of losses xDUneed2Stop wrote: »Maaaan we should start a charity guild for those who lost their beloved motifs and rare items due to crashing lol
I heard that is the solution, but I was surrounded by 2 waves of mobs in this dungeon and couldn't log out. While I was trying to take them out quickly with TF I got the roll back, so it wasn't even possible in this scenario :-/BabeestorGor wrote: »Back in single-player gameland the advice was always save every time you achieve something significant.
Seems like in mmo-land it should be log out and then back in every time you achieve something.
lol thanks man. I'll take whatever I can get at this point, so much appreciated! xox back at yaMaotti_Nor wrote: »Don't know which way you swing, but lots of xox on your way!

I'm sorry to hear that. Welcome to the Broken Hearts clubdodgehopper_ESO wrote: »I lost an Imperial Motif like this a good long while ago. I know what its like, definitely a bummer Alucardo.

Thank you. Well I won't attempt a dungeon until the roll backs are fixed, so hopefully next time it'll be a non-issue.BabeestorGor wrote: »Yes, not really an option if you're in combat or in a group I suppose.
Tough break, hope you have better luck next time.
Publishers / Marketing / Shareholders...
When they have a deadline that they have marketed through announcements, they force the devs to stick to it...even if the game is riddled with bugs and not ready.....they are forced to launch it anyway....
This is why I am moving away from game companies with big publisher. large marketing and retail budgets and shareholders...
This is why you see a huge boost the past 2 years in crowdfunding games and dev studios going for public donations/pledges. The devs want to get away from them just as much as we do.
It's just the games, devs and the gamers. Nothing in between with full open modular development from day one, gamers get to see the games being created and it gives the devs instant feedback and complete creative freedoms they can't get with a publisher or investors.
It also avoids scummy business tactics like "heavy casino like RNG micotransactions" and other similar horrible things.
I solo'd Old Orsinium dungeon on a level 14 DK tonight, and I was happy to drop my very first special motif in the game: Ancient Orc boots. Doesn't sound like much, but like I said, it was my first special one dropped ever.
During a Take Flight the game crashed instantly and logged me out. Weird. I log back in to find out it was a roll back. I no longer have the motif.

Hopefully Stiking Orc Motif will be in the crown store soon, if it is not there already, and the rich will be able get it without any effort whatsoever, glitches or not!!!
Except for people who do not recieve crowns due to other glitches.

Just because you are rich does not mean you are stupid. 130 mats for one piece of new gear?! I'm fine with my current VR16 crafted style.
