As I am playing the game I forget most of the storyline. I started in DC. All I can remember is that the King was having bad dreams, there were some bandits, and undead army and I united them. In the Aldemeri I helped the Queen unite her empire and there was this couple that was from the forest and I helped them get married and also her brother was a traitor. I have not done any EP yet.I do not remember much from the main quest line, a lot of going into the old guys past and dealing with Sherogoth I think. Maybe that was fighters or mage guild though... Also I do not remember other side quests much.

The reason I being this up is because want to know if other players are also vague on the story. Also Orsinium is so story based I wonder if it will be worth it.

Orsinium is all about development. It's more immersive than story-driven.

There's a ton of people who don't pay attention or care about the storyline/lore/quests at all.

But I'm not one of them.

I'm similar, I try to get into the story but so much of it is so badly voiced/written/animated that I end up giving up and skipping through all the talk.

On the other hand, I enjoy the storylines so much that I have 8 vet characters just to go through the quests again... ☺

The story is extremely important for me to be able to fully enjoy the game, and even more important than gameplay (to a point). If it is TES, then the story will be central.

I like it when you walk up to an npc and they say something like "ah, i heard you rescued the wyresses at $place" and i've got no idea what they're on about
also if they say "a runner from the lion guard just reported that camlorn has been liberated!" they mustn't have been running very faat because that was back in may 2014

I pay attention to the story, but one of the big issues I have is that all the NPCs are so familiar I remember being sent to help someone but I can't remember who it was or why or exactly which choices I took unless they are really important.

Usually its when I get a choice in Red that I remember what I did because I think about it. Like in Shadowfen I know eactly what I did to do with the stones. But if you asked me who sent me to help the quest with the deaugar I wouldn't have a clue.

I always enjoy the story, and always remember most of it. Sure, itz lessens the replay value a little when I recall all the stories so well, but... eh, still fun to imagine my alt goung through them.
    What?
Yes, I often mumble my own version of the canned responses, why do you ask?

    You are one confused person.

Pay more attention to the damned game and dialogue if it's your first playthrough. If you don't bother even the first time, don't ask us to rewrite you the whole story of each faction. Now you're gonna tell me that it's not what you want, rewriting us all the content, but it's essentially what you need atm.

I've had that happen too. XD One of the pluses of going through again with my alt is remembering some of what people are congratulating me for.

I also like when, for example, an Altmer congratulates me for helping Queen Ayrenn...in Daggerfall Covenant or Ebonheart Pact territory. Jorunn and Emeric probably know I'm an Aldmeri agent by now. :P

I find the opposite of everything you stated to be true. As far as voice acting, writing and animation, what are you comparing this to? Just curious, I've not seen any better in the genre.
