Console Players - If World of Warcraft came to console, would you quit ESO?

As there are tons of options for MMOs on PC, there are very few on console for us couch gamers. The three top MMOs being FF14 (ps4), DCUO, and ESO. Would you quit immediately if you could enjoy WoW on a couch? (lets pretend that the skill mapping would not be a problem)

In a heartbeat. They have good pvp, arenas, battlegrounds. Mounts that actually drop in game (really low drops). I like ESO but it lacks so much in pvp.

Wow has an awful outdated combat system and also looks terrible, as it's outdated.

WoW was always too cartoony looking for me. If AC was re-skinned with 2015 graphics on console I'd be there. I'd probably split my time between ESO though

First of all, not to be rude, but the way you worded the question before your poll should leave only a yes or no answer to click. What are the other games on there for? But back on topic. If you told me right now you would pay me my current hourly wage to stay home and play WoW on console...I would grab my keys and rush out the door to make sure I made it to work on time.

WoW looks too cartoonish to ever draw me in. I love the graphics, world, and lore of the ESO universe, so no other MMO would entice me away.

Other MMOs feel a bit more restricted than ESO. Its why I seldom ever touch MMOs at all (apart from ESO of course).

Yeah you're right, it's completely ruined by it's PTW elements and on top of that when I played the PVP was diabolical.

The reason I have other options is because I knew everyone would comment "wow isn't the only one @hole "

Wow is almost 10 years old. Why would I play an outdated game with an awkward point and click, autoattack, gcd combat system? In a real fight, my ability to aim strikes the target, not the accuracy stats on my gear.

No. ESO is my one and only MMO. I have never played another and ESO has taught me that it's not my cup of tea. So No. No matter what MMO came to console, I will never again buy in to it.

Yeah you're right, it's completely ruined by it's PTW elements and on top of that when I played the PVP was diabolical.

Nothing about NW is exactly PTW... It is instead GTW!
You can grind and earn everything you can buy with cash/ZEN.

I have max geared Paladin/Wiz/Warlock/and almost have my Guardian Fighter Max geared. on console NW and I will tell you I spent maybe $80.00 when the game first came out.

But back OT: You forgot RIFT.. I swear that game is very underrated! Rift is a game where mechanics are either learned or you fail every dungeon.

I will add that MMO players are in a great time right now. I look for more MMOs; to port to console within a year or so. Rumor was out last spring that GW was already throwing around a XBOX release in the near future.

Most other MMO's have awful console ports. They don't rethink the UI elements for a TV screen and controller, and don't even include built-in voice chat (in FFXIV, players in groups have resorted to using Skype on their cellphones to communicate). In that respect, ESO stands heads above most other console MMO's.

So the answer is maybe, but only if they did a PROPER console port. And by "proper," I mean if they put more thought into it than just lazily slapping the old PC game over onto a console with barely a change.

It largely depends on how ESO improves in the future more than anything else. However Black Desert and Everquest Next likely to be coming to console. There is also still the possibility of Dragon's Dogma Online being released in the West. If ESO doesn't continue to improve or backslides I could look to those games as a replacement MMO.

I swear that game is another game that flew under the radar... DD was one of the best RPGs I was ever blessed to play..

I am not interested in any other MMO which is not TES.
I voted "Dedicated to ESO".

However, since IC "the thrill is gone".
ESO gameplay became pure grinding.

Either Orsinium will fix the tedious mat grinding IC introduced,
or I will return to Single Player games more worthy of my precious free time.

Eh, GW2 left a bad taste in my mouth. I was pretty hyped for it since I was in love with GW1, and I was thoroughly disappointed all around. I felt like the lack of a trinity just killed it. Everyone used the same build and we all just dps'd and dodged in every dungeon and then did a corpse run before our team died when we fell. Plus every world boss or event I could just tap the enemy once and /dance the rest of the fight and get the same mediocre rewards. I also wasn't a fan of their battle leveling. Never felt powerful or epic the entire game. To me it was a super casual mmo that revolved around weapon and armor skins, a lot of which came from the shop and rng boxes. Not sure what changes came with the new expansion though.

Hell no. I've already spent over 8 years on WoW and it's terrible.

It's a huge Pay 2 Win game now, and I don't care what anyone says, because it is.

You can

• Pay for a boost and all the loot you want
• BUY gold with IRL money from the in-game store micro-transaction and not to mention the services are overpriced.
• It's catered to casuals more than ever, which is why it's already a fact that many WoW players prefer Vanilla/TBC/Wotlk private servers, and there's a booming population on them.
• They make you grind your life away to keep up with everybody and then everything basically gets replaced by quest/normal content gear in the new expansion.
• Repetitive.
• Looking For Raid killed the thrill of real raiding.
• etc etc etc

I can go on and on, but in other words, WoW sucks. The only reason I come back to it every now and then is to talk to friends.

There is talk of NeverWinter coming to PS4, so I would try it out...only because I played in the Forgotten Realms in p-n-p since about 1983, I think. (Too old to remeber back that far.)
