Yeah, the lag is still pretty bad. I guess I got used to guessing where people were going to be after they teleported across my screen from lag, and focused my frustration on other things.same here..
but what gets me most the is lag..i decided to not join guild raids anymore just so i dont add up to the lag on the server with the huge raids (zergs) but even when im on the other side of the map from where all the fighting is i still end up dieing to the things that lag bring along.
having to press cloak 10 times before it actually decides to activate is everything but fun and it doesnt just happen on the most crowded server.
its just a constant fight against lag instead of your opponent and after more than a year we still hear the same thing "we're working on it"
pvp is this game was fun untill you get somewhat better at it and see all the flaws and bugs that basicly happen with every damn encounter with another player.
It's the same thing every day.Its so depressing. All I want is something new in PvP.
Besides a stupid mount / costume I can buy for 10 bucks.
Well, as of today I am going on hiatus from PvP. When I first started it was a lot of fun, and I missed so much sleep because I was enjoying myself so much. Now, I find myself logging on for shorter periods of time - we're talking 10-15 minutes, before I get bored, upset, angry, disappointed. or had the morale sucked out of me.
I'm tired of the EP zergs, I'm tired of the stam sorc meta polluting every crevice spamming wrecking blow and crit rush (thanks Fengrush), I'm tired of not being able to find small-scale PvP, or even solo someone without a herd jumping in half way through the fight. Stop promoting zergs.
I'm so done for now. This isn't an "I quit" thread. I'm just going to limit myself to PvE, so I'll still be around, just not in Cyro.
Hey, at least if I PvE I know I'm going to get continuous updates and improvements, and be let down a lot less. I know I'm going to get a DLC focused on what I like doing and not have the other side thrown into the mix (ie: IC and its PvE element). My performance will be better. Hell, they even threw in a new server just for Orsinium. IC could go to hell, but we gotta make sure those PvErs are taken care of!
You know what? Fine. Let Cyrodiil sink, but I'm not going down with it. I'll be playing the game the way Zenimax wants us to.
Peace.
As to the lag issue...Has there ever been an MMO that attempted to offer PvP on a massive scale that actually succeeded in eliminating lag?
As an experiment, let's take, say, a hundred different computers located in 50 different U.S. states plus several foreign countries, running different operating systems and utilizing dozens of different service providers, link them together across multiple different switches and lines of variable quality utilizing an "internet" that was never designed to support gaming in the first place, then fuss at the guy running the server because he can't eliminate lag.
It's really a modern miracle that it works at all.

Thank youI took a break from active PvP sometime during summer, and only recently returned to it. I'll tell you, having done that was a great idea for me, I hope the same happens to you.
I appreciate the feedback, but come on man, give me something to look forward toJoke's on you, PVE in this game is not really worth it. At least for the next few months. 2 dungeons and an upcoming arena. That's all that is being offered by ZoS to the (serious/hardcoreish) PVE people. The other dungeons and the trials are not worth to mention anymore, unfortunately.
And this comes from someone who was a hardcore PVEer, and swapped to PVP because it is just way more fun than just bursting through any mechanic, having no difficulties besides trying to do it as fast as possible.

Ahhh you're one of THOSE guys. One of my last fights we only had like 6 people, but a majority of EP were on sieges. The ground, no matter where you roll dodged or ran to, was completely red. Siege may be pretty weak now, but some people took so many firepots and meatbags they were dead in seconds.CrowsDescend wrote: »What I've resorted to now, is basically getting 10 Fire Ballistas, 10 Oil Pots, Caltrops (on a magicka build) and staying inside of keeps/outhouses/towers as much as possible, while attempting to get the odd siege (nerfed) weapon kill for a little bit of points because one can not simply touch a zerg that takes 75% less damage, can they?
BwB for non-vets and Haderus for my vetsvamp_emily wrote: »I'm curious Alucardo, which campaign are you in?
Sadly I'm not the only BwB DC regular to take a break recently. We're pretty fed up of getting crushed by the same zergs every day.. but I won't be quitting, just need a breakvamp_emily wrote: »I'm in BwB and Azura ( N/A server )
I know how you feel about EP zerges they can be overwhelming sometimes, but you know BwB needs you. So don't quit on us.
My opinion is different than most players on here, because ESO PvP is the only PvP I have ever played.
- I very seldom lag
- I enjoy fighting zergs
When it gets too overwhelming for me, or I am having a bad night ( pushing all the wrong buttons ) I will take a little break and go gather and come back.
