When do we start getting nervous that they broke something and don't know how to fix it?

I don't mean with how the game plays -- they broke that a long time ago -- I mean with the hardware/software. This maintenance seems a little bit long, unexpected so. Seems to me that if they had any idea it was going to be like this before they started it, they would have let us know in advance. Just sayin'!


(OMFG, guys, what if they game doesn't come back on? Do you have a backup game or will you see daylight for the first time in 2 years?)

Let's look at it this way, it's completely improbable that they 'broke' Such a large cash cow. It's a video game, can you seriously not wait 6-10hrs? Surely your life doesn't totally revolve around eso.

Sorry guys, but we have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is, somehow we managed to wipe the entire character database.

The good news is, that once you reach VR1 for the umteenth time you can take advantage of the new CP catchup mechanic!

And, as a special reward, everyone will recieve the new vanity pet Swarmer! Yes, this cute little swarming hornet not only looks cool, but actually increases the aggro range of swarming hornets in Craglorn by 5000%. We know how you love grinding, so this should help you grind out some of those xp by drawing every hornet in craglorn to your location!

But I did all the real life I could handle today, lol. Seriously though, it's my day off today and was planning on playing since I had most of the day to myself before my wife came home and I don't play when she is. I just logged out a little while ago on XBOX one EU... what exactly is down? I did notice that the top of the web page still says that the maintenance is in progress but the game has been playable for a long time now, in-fact when you launch ESO it says maintenance has been completed.

North American servers are down for maintenance, not European.

Some people planned this 3 day run for over a week.
3 hours in the servers went down.
So much for fallout 4, I never make the same mistake twice.

Everything is going according to plan. It's probably their disaster recovery plan, but everything is in good hands.
