My V16 has 30k health and is dying to 20k in pvp

Any ideas as to why this is ?
All my armour was basically full well over half anyway.
Death recap:

Fall damage -10,364
Crystal frags -2,888
Surprise attack-5,042
Surprise attack-2,931
Death- endless fury- 939

So around 22k... Where's the other 8k health going?

The death recap only lists the last 5 things to hit you, I believe.

Probably got hit by a knockback ability off of something. Like Xendyn said, I believe only the last 5 things show up. So if that was the first thing maybe you got hit by- Javelin, WB, Dragon Leap, Destructive Reach etc. then those 5.

If you get hit by a ton of different things at once, the total won't necessarily add up to your total health.

I like how an insta cast like surprise hits harder than frags lol. ima assume the level difference was high i guess. The recap only shows the last 5 so one there may be a few missing

I should have mentiond it was definently 5 hits, I fell off one if the spawn in IC that was the 10k fall damage and then got killed with the endless fury.. It was over in seconds

100 % never got hit by any projectiles or anything, they had to run a little when they seen me falling

This is seriously a forum post? I call BS... and you got hit more than 5 times... why is it every time PvEer dies they post that something is broken or exploited or hacking or anything but the fact the took damage and died... sorry if this seems mean but since IC came out the ridiculousness of posts invovling PvP from the PvE community are just out of this world. I really wish they didn't include PvE in PvP anymore. At first i was like mmm gonna be nice easy AP but the amount of ridiculous posts tells etc i see are enough to drive me mad

Did you cast anything that could have potentially have been reflected? I have noticed my own stuff getting reflected and it does not always show on recap.

Nope,
Exactly what happened was.. Fell off IC spawn at the arena, took the fall damage, then immediately took damage from the other guys... I wasn't hit before I hit the ground so with the math I'm 8k off what my max health should be judging by the recap.

It is a possibility but it was literally over in 3 seconds and I never seen anything.

^I thought everyone knew this. Or at least that the death recap does not show everything that happened to you to contribute to your death. To get that data you need to run an addon like Combat Log Statistics. Though even that won't capture things like who (character name) did the damage to you, which I believe is due to Zeni not allowing it..

In not sure if this relates to your scenario, but last night while climbing up a hill in cyrodiil, I got nuked by an ice comet. My recap showed 8k damage for the ice comet and over 20k in fall damage. I never fell from the hill, but I think some how the server thought I did.

Urquan and Xendyn hits it right in the nail. Sometimes when the dmg coming all at once in a short amount of time; it will not necessarily register in the death recap. Also , after receiving the 'endless fury' dmg, the endless fury "explosion" (execute dmg) probably didn't register when you died.

While OP's example might not be the best one, I actually remember myself being killed a few times by 2-3 abilities not summing up to my actual current HP. Happened both in PvP and PvE, no insta-kills (environmental/fall damage).

I have wanted more detailed death recap a long time. I even made a thread about it as well.

Use one of the many combat log add ons if you want a more detailed account of your combat.

This is a known bug.

A bug like this happens to me all the time my resources will be drained right before magika and stamina from full to zero in a flash then bam dead.
