Perfect Roe removed, reduced drop rate or horrible RNG?

✭✭✭I got one perfect roe this evening, along with four of the same rare green fish within about 10 minutes.

Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis -

✭✭✭There is an addon that tracks how many fish youve fillet and how many out of those you got a roe on and calculates a drop percentage based on it. out of the thousands I did it was a steady .7-.8% drop.

Votan has a dodgy Fishing add-on that automatically fillets the fish for you and counts the Roe drop rate. My feeling is that this violates their prohibition on automation, so I use this add-on but have modified it so that it can only do one fillet at a time. It gives me the count without having to write my own program to do it and keeps me from any potential wrath from ZOS if they ever decide that it is a violation of the ToS and start cracking down on it. -
menschie✭Just started fishing today ... 1 roe out of 135 fish = .74% ... fits right in with what everyone else is saying. Roe are going for about 12k in Craiglorn. ✭✭✭I don't bother. I went through over a thousand fish and never got a perfect roe. I did not continue. It is an excessive waste of time and not fun, so why do it? Leave fishing to people who are willing to scrape by for it or the folks who like playing a bad fishing simulator.

I spent almost an hour fishing last night. Just closed my eyes, lied back on the couch, listened to the water running and the birds and other sounds in the game, and hit the X button on the PS4 controller every time I heard the "bite". I opened my eyes 30 minutes in and, without my knowledge, saw that I caught three greens, one blue, and one Wet Gunny Sack with two Kuta.
