In the next update there will be a 50% chance to get a chapter of the new Mercenary motif in a silver chest, and a 60% chance in a gold chest.
There you go... moar lootz!
Those items are good fi decon, so you can make your new gear.
Ir for selling the mats.
I don't mind those at all.
But as someone said, keep your keys till the update.
I did that on my sorc from V7 to V16. I had about 60 to open at once and that was a lot of fun.
Considering how low the chance is, of getting the perfect monster shoulder set piece that you are looking for, I'm amazed that a gold key isn't guaranteeing a piece every time.
With all the traits being random multiplied by the amount of Undaunted set pieces you might want, a 33% chance of getting random shoulder piece as a reward feels about right.

And I get stuff more common than the weakest enemy in ic can drop for the end reward. I'm sorry but there should be no excuse for trash fodder in a gold chest or silver. It should always be either a peice of random undaunted gear or item set peice or shoulders the chances of getting the pauldron we want are slim enough without crap decon materials with well fitted on them further clustering the chances. you made dungeons harder to do.. don't make the rewards even worse...
I'd have been happy getting an undaunted unweaver set oeice with well fitted or training vs this crap fodder....
I stopped doing them after a week straight of Rubedite junk. They should allow you to purchase a random undaunted piece after 3 gold keys. Or a specific piece with 10
I'm almost at 40 keys now without a single shoulder drop. Talk about discouraging... =/Mettaricana wrote: »So opened 6 pledge chests 3 gold 3 silver the other day... and got common ic enemy drop fodder on all 6...

I'm a subscriber but from the 42 gold-keys I turned in after I hit V16 on the first day the DLC came out, I got like 4 shoulders (3 light, 1 medium armor with meh traits). Now I have like 1 shoulder per week on average - sometimes more, sometimes less. But I started to collect the keys again in order to turn them in when Orsinium goes live to increase chances on the motifs. I therefore guess that, like in dungeons, the drop chance for a set-shoulder is like 10 % as well. Would be nice to know if, with the increased drop chance (up to 30%) in Orsinium DLC, this will also affect pledge chests as well.If your a subscriber you get shoulders almost every other day. i havent got anything good from undaunted chest in a very long time

First, we’ve seen your concerns about the time and effort it’s going to take to obtain all the chapters of the motif. We’re aware that some of you feel that the other recently-released motifs are too grueling to get, so we wanted Mercenary to be more easily obtained. Bronze chests will drop a chapter 40% of the time; Silver chests, 50% of the time; Gold chests, 60% of the time.
We’ve also seen some confusion when we say that the Laurels (the style item required to craft a piece of gear in the Mercenary style) are Bind on Pickup. To be clear, when we say ‘Bind on Pickup’, we mean it binds to your account, not your character. This means that any of your characters can earn a Laurel, bank it, and let any of your other characters use it.
Finally, we’ve seen lots of talk about how the Laurels will only drop for characters who know at least one chapter of the style. One thing we didn’t mention in the patch notes, however, is that this is not a simple 0%-100% scale – while knowing zero chapters of the style does mean you won’t ever see a Laurel, having just one chapter means that final bosses from Veteran Dungeon will have a 50% chance to drop a Laurel for you. From there, it scales up linearly to 100% (approx. +4% per chapter). Note that the drop rate of Laurels from final bosses in Normal Dungeons Laurel is always 1/4th of their Veteran counterparts.
If you’re concerned that you now have to get your crafting character suited up and ready for dungeons, consider this: With just one chapter under your belt – likely obtained after only a day’s worth of Pledges – your most Undaunted character will be getting a Laurel about every other run through a Veteran Dungeon.
