ZOS, stop balancing the game around the CP system and balance the CP system around the game

Its getting to the point were high CP investment is required to fulfil your role properly, and skills are being balanced around high CP investment.

(DISCLAIMER: a lot of these problems are also because of lack of softcaps, but adding a massive progression system on top of that defiantly contributed)

this is also hurting multirole builds, because its starting to require massive CP investment into your role combined with using CP to patch skill and ability nerfs its becoming harder to play the way you want. if you a tank you HAVE to invest in block cost reduction and the like, healers in +% healing done, DPS in mighty/thaumaturgy, etc.

my focusing in these way not only are we killing build diversity and flexibility but ZOS starts balancing the game wrong, instead of tweaking the CP system that is causing the discrepancies they nerf skills and abilities. this in tern puts even more focus on CP's and specialization within them. this is going to lead to an endless cycle of high cp = base skills nerfed = get more cp = base skills nerfed even further = etc. etc.

that's dumb ZOS

BUT HEY!!! you can buy xp pots in the crown store that will help you get CP FASTER!!!! just give them some $$$

    They don't play their game. So, they make all stupid decisions.
    They want the forums to help them make their decisions. So, that is why many have ditched this game.

    It's a cycle they are putting themselves in. They claim it's a horizontal progression, but it's more diagonal. Not truly vertical but not really horizontal. I'm honestly surprised there hasn't been the typical l2p thrown up. But hey, the best arguments I've seen defending the fact that the game is balanced around the CP system is, that statement is just so wrong, and l2p. But hey I'm sure they're right. Obviously people who have hundreds of cp aren't in the least bit used to their power and how much easier it makes the game for them as opposed to those who don't have it. While it may be true that any one star doesn't give a huge advantage, the sum of everything you gain adds up to quite a bit.

    I'm in no way against those that have a boatload of CP nor am I complaining to the like of "he has 700 I only have 100 no fair"

    its not there fault for using the system ZOS put in place, for using the CP system as it was intended, for simply playing the game the devs put in front of them.

    It is clearly ZOS's fault. they designed, and continue to design the game.

    the champion system, and mechanics design as it is right now, is wrong.

    though that statement is based on the idea that they are trying to create a fun and balanced game, there are other motivations to consider. for instance, the champion system designed as it is generates them MONEY. soft caps do not, a balanced CP system that is not as much of an impact generates less money, as you would not be incentivized as much to buy xp pots and what not.

    putting the mechanical focus of the game in a system that has huge progression life then adding for monetary cost a way to speed up that life is obviously a good way to make money.

    more champion points = win
    crown xp items = more champion points
    pay money = crown xp items
