just about to hit VR16 tomorrow, currently im magicka based using sweeps to dps and self heal and weidl 1h mace and sheild.

pvp wise it just doesn't do any damage using my crafted armor set of magnus/seducers to reduce magicka use and increase regen.

am i doomed to have to drop 7/7 heavy and go cloth for dps? or are there any good 1H shield 7/7 Heavy builds out there? i don't mind being utility, but i seem to have no survivability atm.. even when swapping to resto staff off spec.

    Sounds like you have some conflicts in your build maybe. If you are using 7 Heavy and S&B Im thinkin you sound a little more like a stamina build vs a magicka. Also, relying on sweeps isnt going to heal enough. Im betting with your playstyle stamina would be the better way to go. Not saying it cant be done with magic but really you need some light armor for the magic passives for a magic temp.

    Personally, for my magic temp I like to run 5L 2H. Just feel that works for me, have also tried 5H 2L, I always go for 2 rather than 1 all the way. Characters just feel more balanced to me that way.

    i wouldnt mind going full healing if i had a way to dps to help out...

    About 7 heavy

    That itself isnt the cause of lack of damage. Its maybe more your sets. Of course you will do more damage with 7 light. But deoending on your style you might want to be tanky. But of course 7 heavy with 2 magika sustain sets will make it hard for you to kill.

    Ok so i tried a heavy build like this before IC dropped and had no Magicka Sustain or Spell damage.....It just didnt work.

    But now you have a option.

    4x Elf Bane = Heavy Armour that increase your spell damage. (Very expensive to buy can be given to you by playing pvp).
    2x Torags pact = light waist and use a 2 hand sword for 5% extra damage ... drop the sword and shield its not needed now.
    2x engine guardian = 1x heavy head 1x light or medium if you have undaunted passive.

    Use a resto staff on back bar and make this your buff bar channel focus, structured entropy and purifying light etc.

    Pick up vampire as well your going to need some mobility with mist form slot this on your back bar also. for 10% magicka regen and put bat swarm on your dps bar for extra 10% regen. if your still struggling for magicka regen .. use repantance also on your dps bar for a further 10% increase in magicka regen ..... Depending on class, race and champion points i sit around 1350 to 1500 magicka regen.

    Remember buy willpower rings and enchant with legendary enchants for spell power.

    With this build i can have 2-3 people on me without many issues and still hit pretty hard.

    Hope this helps good luck looking for the perfect build it will take a while, but will be well worth it when you get it down to suit your playstyle.
