Ravage Potions -- What are they used for?

In learning Alchemy, I'm getting all these Ravage potions -- health, stamina, magicka -- and I don't understand what you use them for?
One person said that the Ravage health potions are used in PvP, so that you can die without giving the enemy the kill... which I guess is a weird but viable thing. But what about the others? Anyone know?

There's zero reason for ravage potions to exist. Perhaps when Thieves Guild comes out and we can use them as poisons... maybe. For now, they're trash. Sell 'em. They serve zero purpose (even in PVP).

Ravage health is needed for writs from time to time.

Ravage traits are a counter to the Restore traits. Beyond that a Ravage Potion of some sort is requested by Alchemy Writs.

Yes, ravage health combined with spell symmetry can be used to kill yourself out of combat. Throw in Eternal Yokeda set and you get 200 ultimate. It's one of the ways to build ultimate out of combat.

Back in Morrowind it was a bit disturbing how much you could sell poisons for to your friendly local vendors. Actually, wait, what am I saying, of course there's a booming market for poisons in Morrowind

Dropping scrolls in Cyrodiil if you are too lazy to carry them home and the place you jump from doesn't give enough fall damage to kill you.
