Am I alone in this? At first I thought thought the new pvp update was gonna be awesome. I was all for getting rid of the two hit wonders that run around with max damage stats, and actually make combat more interesting.. But no. Not only can I not sustain myself like I did before. I can hardly do close to the amount of damage I needed to do in a fight to stay viable. I am a DK btw. And I can completely understand the DKs having to run around and spam WB now. It's the only skill a stamina DK can use to do any decent amount of damage.

I mean it has to be confusing as hell to new players to go into pvp and all the sudden wonder why their heals and damage aren't doing what their tool tips say they do. This update was a blanket to cover up real problems. And it's only causing more. It's destroyed countless builds.. It's left some classes in the gutter while buffing other classes play styles. Why can't we address the real problems. Like shield stacking. Maybe putting a hard cap soft cap on max weapon or spell power. Or addressing the skills that were causing the issues beforehand. However I do agree with the blocking and dodge roll changes. But not the 50% less effective damage, heals, and shields is just off.

Eso pvp was always fun for me because of the fast pace. Yes you still ran into that occasional player you could duel against for minutes. But not like it is now where you can constantly stale mate with someone until either your Zerg or their Zerg gets their first. maybe this is just me. What's everyone else's opinions? Do you want the old pvp back? If so what changes should really be made to fix pvp?

    No, you're not alone. Their blanket "fixes" are ruining the game. PVP is NOT fun right now. PVP was amazing at launch, and yes, it was unbalanced (and it still is).

    I really like the ic content. But pvp was better in general before in my opinion.

    The people who complained about getting killed fast, were people with low stats and damage.

    They still have low stats and damage, just everyone does 50% less of it. This "blanket nerf" was never going to save them, unless they run in a blob of healers of course.

    For me personally it was a positive change. I don't pvp much lately, because Im doing other stuff in game right now, but this update really helped me 1v1. Sure the fights are longer and just today I had to walk away from this DK tank, because we wasnt able to kill each other, but overal Im happy. But at the same time I understand why some people dont like it.

    Yeah, I agree with OP. It would have been nice to see specific skills addressed. Instead we got blanket fixes, and the overpowered skills are still overpowered.

    One could make the argument that people who did not complain about being killed fast were running nightblade/sorc metas, advocated for the removal of softcaps specifically to build overpowered burst combos, used every exploit under the sun, used macros and animation cancelling, and built up their cp to have as big an advantage as possible.

    But that would be generalizing, wouldn't it?

    I agree that the changes were blanket fixes but don't pin this shjt on newbies and people with low stats. Its not only false, it makes the community look bad.

    Its boring now.

    Its either empty with no one pvping and everyone trying to hide and PvE. That or you break the entrance to a long corridor only to see a mindless flood of people barreling down upon you with 900 damage crystal frags and 1100 ambush spams. As they pass by a straggler level 31 with 40k life tea bags you then gets confused and runs off the oposite direction of his zerg spamming heals on nobody (true story).

    The best pvp experience was 1.5. 1.6 was the beginning of no brain one shot builds because of softcap removal. Keep the 1.5 softcaps logic with the balance between magicka/stamina build and buff siege weapons, it should work better.

    I feel as though it was more fun in 1.5.

    I would like to play a server with 1.5 soft caps and without the IC nerfs and see how it feels

    Happy with PVP right now except for a few OP abilities that have always been OP and never addressed. As a 350 ping player I have time to react before hitting the ground which is kind of nice for a change.

    They should have just battle leveled lower vet levels and made a few adjustments and fixes. I think the results would have been much better than the PVP we have now.
