What do you guys think about jumping ppl PvEing in Cyrodiil?

Personally I think it's legit even though I understand why some people might choose not to do that. But personally I think it's a little bit too much to ask from others in a PvP zone to leave somebody PvEing alone and risk he will jump you next time when he sees you first. And then it's you riding all the way back instead of him.

Thing is I met this guy today who was PvEing in Cropsford and I was doing the exact same thing. I wasn't looking for somebody I could jump, but I jumped him anyway for the reasons I described above. But he didn't fight back, just stood still and I gues that should mean I was doing something wrong? I say what the hell man, you're in PvP zone, so deal with it and at least fight for your life, because if you don't, you still die, but you ruin it for both of us.

If you intentionally go to them areas to gank PvErs, it's a bit shameful, but if you just happen to be in the same area then go nuts. It's really as simple as that.

Said this before in other similar threads, but if you are in Cyro and you are a enemy player, then you get lit up, give no mercy, expect no mercy.

I do not agree with going to specific PvE areas to gank PvE`ers as thats kinda pathetic and no challenge, but if you see enemy players around while on PvP operations to keeps or w/e, then aye light them up.

    Its war.

    ^^ this

PvP is PvP. Most of the time I let it go. If I'm in that area Im looking to PvE too.

I try not to kill the same guy twice, if he comes back. Unless it was a good fight... or he starts it.

I was in a PvE area, but I was doing PvE there myself. The thing is, I got jumped myself in these areas several times way back when I was leveling, so that's my experience - if you see enemy player over there, you need to get rid of him, because he's most likely going to jump you if you just ignore him and run around PvEing. Of course there is like 5% chance you run into some super nice person who won't but...

When I feel vastly superior to some one or two players I encounter I only attack when I want to, otherwise just carry on and kill them once they jump me. But when I'm on some alt or highly outnumbered I'll just take the way I think I'll most likely accomplish whatever I was trying to do, be that stealth, killing them or whatever.

I agree with this. I wouldn't specifically set aside a block of my time to go hunting them but if I wander into whatever they're doing, I won't hesitate to engage if conditions look favorable.

I love the new dynamic now where you have a chance to fight back. Half the gankers now just turn tail and run like little *****'s when they don't get their 2 second surprise kill.....

Not everyone in there ganks people also. I met a red the other night that was cashing in trophies. We just waved at each other and went our separate ways.

I have almost done the whole map quests in cyrodil on 3 chars almost, and im perfectly fine being ganked. Its the name of the game.

its simple: its a pvp zone, that has pve quests in it, you are not suppose to feel safe from other players

TBH you took mercy on the EP, many would have killed her asap or at least after lighting up the boss, and defo not before she got her skyshard.

    Fair play sir:P

    I think it's pretty fun :)

Both on the giving, and the receiving end. I would have liked to see even more pve in Cyrodiil tbh. Doing dungeons, dolmens and places like Bruma are some of the most simple, yet enjoyable things in the entire game for a solo or duo. A little sense of danger, decent rewards, unpredictable situations. It is my favorite thing to do on low level alts as well.

My first outing into Cyrodiil at level 10 resulted in a gruesome death in BWB Cropsford to some lvl45 player (I tried fighting back, but come on, I was level 10, it was no contest). I didn't go back to Cyrodiil until vet levels. Because of that experience, outside of keeps/resources I don't go after enemy players unless they're coming after me or a member of my group.

My first PVP kill was someone trying to gank me while my NB tank was fighting a couple of mobs at the Redoran Estate. I didn't even see the person go down, just saw the AP gain on my screen and a 1 in my PVP achievement for killing Breton players. As a tank I don't hit hard at all so I'm really not sure how I killed them, as I never even saw them. I imagine they must have been pretty upset.

I soloed the rest of Cyrodiil, including all delves and the skyshards behind enemy gates. People did try to go after me, but, well. Am NB, have maxed alchemy, will travel. I'm not interested in PVP when I'm doing PVE content, and you can't force me to fight you. Avoiding gankers (and just enemy players in general) in Cyrodiil is trivial if you run counters and are aware of your surroundings.
AD is the best looking faction. I don't make the rules, I just enforce them.

There is some truth in that. But when I was jumped as a low lvl in these areas, I always defended myself even though I would have prefered not to fight at all.

Now that I think about it, I probably wouldn't attack lvl 10 player, but that's non issue since this is vet campaign I'm talking about.

About your first kill... that house is pretty tough for lower rank ppl with green gear. I suspect he maybe was fighting NPC, got low on health, try to run away and run right into you. Or something like that.

My first kill was when I saw person fighting mobs in front of Nisin cave. I stabbed her from stealth and dropped solar disturbance. I probably overdid that kill heh. But it was my first try so I wanted to be sure.

If I am at a quest hub, I don't attack unless they attack first. Even then, I will sometimes just turn and stare at them with what I imagine is an, "Are you sure you want to do that?" look. :-)

Attacking PvE players at a quest hub feels like attacking the person going to pick up a carton of milk at the corner store. Yeah, it is a war zone. But attacking people doing mundane daily tasks seems lame.

This is less of an issue now than it used to be. Before the Battle Spirit changes, letting another player get in the first blow was a nearly suicidal decision. Now I have time to recover and fight back.

why is it shamefull? the game is filled with areas designed for pve. people that pve in cyrodill (at least me) ar doing it for the thrill of world pvp that this game lacks in the other area. i go to pve areas to pvp cause thats where there is small scale pvp.

It used to be there was a gentlemen's agreement among PvE players in Cyrodiil. Now people think they are good for taking a gank spec'd build and jumping on a guy who has mismatch skills for leveling or a PvE setup. Sportsmanship has gone out of the window for some time now.

If I was in a pve zone in cyrodiil it would be to pve, so I would just ignore any enemy players I saw in the distance and actively try to avoid them. I would only fight them if they started on me or if I bumped into them by surprise. I cerainly wouldn't start on anyone who appeared to just be questing. Live and let live imo.
