Was just thinking the other day how "useless" passives currently are. Useless in the sense that, everybody will pick all the passives, so they don't really have much added value. There is no reason to not pick them all anyway (except during levelling, since you will be low on skill points).

What if you could only select a limited set to have "activated", ie you spec / buy them all with skyshards as it is now, but you can only select 5-10-20 (?) to have "active". Freely switchable when you're out of combat, like normal active skills. Heck they might even tie it into CP so that you will have +1 passive useable per 100/200/.. (?) CP.. and/or Alliance Rank giving you +1 passive per 5/10/20/.. (?) rank

Would this help in build diversity, give you another carrot to chase, or just suck overall :smile: ?!

    would be nice, except once you do that I want you to think about the VAST amount of re-balancing the rest of the game would need to 'balance' out the new 'reduced' stats. Also think about all those wasted skillpoints. And it would suck to have to keep swapping in crafting passives just to do stuff.

    Honestly, there are a lot of other more important things they really ought to be doing than this (It would be fine if done earlier but even then im not sure it'd work)
