Best Hybrid Build For Non-Vet PVP?

I'm looking for a good hybrid build for blackwater blade. I had a level 35 sap tank build before 1.7, but I stopped using it with the changes to stamina regen while blocking. I want to be able to outlast my opponents, and make them run out of resources, but also have a way to escape. What about a vampire templar with 1h/s and resto?

That setup looks like it could work just fine.

I would probably pick Invasion instead of Binding Javelin and Pierce Armor instead of Heroic Slash to be able to focus a single target more but that's just how I like to play.

Edit: You're also missing a weapon damage buff which is pretty important in my opinion.

I think the best hybrid for PvP at the moment would be a magicka based NB with a 2hander.

Thanks for the replies, I'm not sure what to do about the weapon damage buff other than using Solar Flare.

I will try to use a 2h on current magicka nb to see how it works.

Are you flexible on the hybrid setup? Considering Armor passives are one of the only ways you can buff your battle-leveled stats, do you really want to split them up?

I've seen some stamina NBs with Resto Staff as a secondary for Healing ward do well, especially in 1v1s. Essentially you blast your enemy with surprise attack a bunch of times, then use ward and cloak to heal and buy time to recover resources, then repeat. Ever since vigor was more accessible to non-vets I can only imagine that this set up has gotten better.

A friend of mine has ran a hybrid Templar build before that used deep slash for damage and slow, followed up by puncturing sweep for more damage, all while maintaining good good heals. Vamp is great with this. It gives you an escape, bat swarm, and solid regen boost. If you duo with another Templar with a similar build and run spears to restore stam it is one of the most potent non-vet builds for fighting outnumbered.

Stam/hybrid sorc is probably good too. Magicka for bolt escape, lightning form and mages wrath/fury (executes are great in BWB right now). Stamina for Wrecking Blow, crit rush, executioner and rally. The new Passives added with IC will provide you additional weapon and spell damage for running sorc abilities and is one of the few ways available to increase those values that work with Battle Leveling.

Also, just having access to a cheap supply of stam/magicka potions will allow you to outlast most enemies in BwB.

I ran into a magicka NB using a 2hander and it didn't end well for me. What seemed to work for him was a basis of cripple, ambush/lotus, concealed weapon, WB, Fear, and Executioner. He was able to spam cripple while I would assume he was building back up his stamina to come back in with either ambush/WB/Executioner, also from the recap I remember seeing Swallow Soul...
