Craftable set dropped out of a chest?

I'm in Coldharbour and just pulled a Robe of the Eyes of Mara from a simple chest on the west end of the Orchard. It has no trait and no enchantment, just the set bonuses.

Anyone else have this happen before?

Yeah, it happens every so often. Haven't seen any difference between them at all.

Not alarmed or anything just... well, if I wanted Eyes of Mara I'd craft it. Most everything that comes out of those chests being vendor or decon trash aside, craftable sets shouldn't be dropping from chests.

One of the things I've noticed from my Eyes Of Mara drops is that they all had no traits

Maybe zos buy random things in the guild stores and then put them in chests

The craftable sets are also loot sets, you can either craft them or receive them from a drop (one of the things that is awesome in this game), the chests pull from the loot table, so yes they should be dropping from chests.

Eyes of Mara is the only set I've seen do this. It drops in the 40s only afaik.

In the high 20s there is a set called "Night Mother's" that drops as well, but it's actually a different set from the crafted one.

Except literally no other craftable set does this, at no other level. This is the aberration.

There used to be a dropped set of the Night Mothers also that had different bonuses than the crafted version. Probly a few still floating around.

It's two different "Night Mother's", one is "Gaze" the other is "Embrace". They're different sets entirely.

Considering that:
A. This thread is from Sept 2015.
B. You didn't find a more current thread talking about this.
C. There was this giant game overhaul called One Tamriel that completely redid all the overland zone loot tables for dropped sets in Oct 2016.

I'm going to guess the answer is NO.
