Hey guys, im a sorc magicka det, mages fury, curse, entropy, and crystal frags with entropy my spell damage is about 2.9k and my magicka sits at 30k with food. My problem is i dont feel like im doing any damage. I have shields and all but i use magicka det and curse ontop of eachother and i dont kill people quickly at all what do i need to hit harder i already use torags pact im vet 15 should i just make more armor thats vet 15 instead of 14 or is there even much of a difference in the armor? Thankyou guys

    Play tactically instead of the "oh I gotta burst this guy down" mentality because you can't do that anymore.

    Yeah but im really just a solo player and i do play tatically for the most part but i hate having to hit someone with my magicka det curse, entropy, frags rotation 3-7 times just to kill them its a bit to much.

    I'm sitting at around 3.3k Spell damage with 36k Magicka buffed with food. I still enjoy magicka det, you can still one shot with a full combo.

    You are not alone, after IC I feel like I'm going backwards now with my sorc. In a game like this your suppose to feel more powerful at endgame not a feeling of struggle. Very frustrating to say the least.

    In another thread nightblades are saying that Sorcs kill them easier than they did before the patch. In this thread it has been stated sorcs are weaker and having a harder time.

    My NB's feel awesome, but my sorc? Yeah not leveling him anymore he gets wrecked. Maybe he will be a good pve alt

    Those nb must suck cause my nb is lvl 16 and i merk with him killing alot of people i have more telvar stones on him then i do my sorc

    Sorc's are not the best dps. Even before the updates all their abilities fell right in the middle of the dps charts. (Yes a few were in the top area but not more than 2)

    So in PvP it's now wise to try and "control" your opponents. CCs, knockdowns, resource management abilities, and damage are the words of the day.

    Sure you can go dps, but I'm gonna say you'll have a hard time bursting a player to death before he out resource manages you. Temps and NBs will prob be the hardest to deal with. A temp more if combined with another player. DKs are (to me) the easiest to deal with, as most are "tanky" the longer battle favors you and your resource management.

    sorcs perform horrible in pve compared to pvp...

    All V16 with a V12. I'm also running engine guardian so losing some stats there as well. After I upgrade all my gear to legendary with the best enchants I will have another 500-1000 magicka I'm sure.

    Yeah but his shields will still work so i can actually dps lol. Players aren't a big deal but the IC mobs wreck me on my sorc

    I don't know if I agree with that.

    I have a Sorcerer that has never gone into PvP, and he does tons better in PvE than I remember my Nightblade doing.

    Then again, my Sorcerer is only lvl 26 and is just now hitting Shadowfen. He runs with both beasties for intercept/aggro, Storm calling with Mage's Wrath and Lightning Splash and Inferno Staff with the Knockback ability.

    While I know this isn't anywhere close to the uber-potent Sorc builds I read about, he rarely ever gets touched in PvE.

    IDK... maybe my build is noob-ish, but I like it quite a bit.

    (but I wouldn't mind some assistance in maximizing this build... though keep in mind that at lvl 26 I'm still Skill Point poor, even with getting all the Skyshards along the way. lol)

    Im running v15 phoenix x4 | v15 torugs x3 | healer v13 x 4
    31k Magicka, 1100+ Recovery, 22-2800 spell damage (with/out surge)

    I can do ok in pvp but most of the time i get cc'd and insta-killed without a chance to respond. It just depends if im up against a guild or a PUG. PUG are fun because they are scattered and it seems to be more of a 'fight'.

    Other than that, I also feel for PvE my damage straight up blows. I feel like fights drag on a lot longer and I have a lot less sustain (i gave up spell cost reduction glyphs for increased spell damage).
