Does anyone actually quest in Craglorn? Xbone NA AD

MerlinGambino
I've finally completed everything for all alliances and am now v12 trying to quest in Craglorn.
I don't know why they make it so you actually need 4 players, at least make it so a duo can complete it. I don't see myself being able to play much longer if I can't pve and I don't see myself buying IC anytime soon. I guess I could finish the delves in cyro but I would still rather finish the Craglorn questline, this really bothers me, and suggestions?

    No.

    Craglorn is like a joke.

XP has been broken since they nerfed Anoms, Shadow and Scorpion grinds. The returns for group XP are laughable.

Last time I was there I got a plain green item(non-set) from a quest reward box.

    I've never gone back since.

No one quests in Craglorn unfortunately..quest rewards and XP does not equal the effort you have to put into doing it so therefore, no one does it.

Buy the DLC and farm the sewers for the last 4 levels. They will go by quick and you can jumpstart getting mats for your endgame gear.
I'm kind of a small deal!

I have quested in Craglorn and I think it a fun time. In fact i have an AD Templar that needs to do them. I have almost completed the lower and upper Craglorn quests with a EP toon and we did it without much problem with a group of 3. The Lamae's (spelling?) were a bit rough though.

Lot of people quest in Craglorn on PC EU EP at least. Helped out on a quest just a couple of hours ago, and at least one of my guilds still does regular Craglorn events.

For PC Crag questing was done in a very short period after launch. After that in order to do them you need to find someone in your guild/friends that has an alt that hasn't completed the line. They also must be willing to them just for fun since they offer no actual reward. I have helped a few of groups trough some of the quests but since you can't even help people do all quest after you done it once it will be hard to find willing people.

I still love Crag though since getting trough the delves solo was one of the most fun experiences I had in the game.

The fact that ZOS hasn't removed the ridiculous restrictions when they launched it on console, goes to show how far, that attention to player feedback ZOS is recently so proud about, actually goes. ;)

I'm on XBox One NA AD and will eventually be ready (VR10) for Craglorn, but currently stuck at Rivenspire because the game won't load properly for me (constant lag). Thus, I'll be waiting for the patch. In the meantime, I'm collecting rune stones.

Now, a question: Craglorn can't be done solo? I know it has some dungeons requiring group, but I just assumed it was like Cyrodiil without the PvP. Is this not the case?

Craglorn is not solo friendly. Sure you can take on a group of wasp or welvas by yourself but it'll be tough and more time consuming than going there with a group. Like they said craglorn is a joke. Once I hit vet 12 on my alt i went to imperial city.

Oh. Well, that's disappointing. I was looking forward to it.

Guess now I'll just have to get my arse creamed in PvP as I try to do Cyrodiil quests. :(

Good luck. I couldn't find anyone to quest with mostly because most people there are doing Vet 16 dungeons or selling stuff.

Now I am Vet 16 I am actually doing some of the quests solo,

My hope for when Orcinium is released is as follows.
    1) VET levels are scrapped
    2) Cadwell Gold and Silver are scrapped/optional
    3) Craghorn is made solo friendly yes have the group dungeons etc but let us complete the story solo or with open dungeons.
    4) Skyshards, achievements and alliance rank are made account wide so I am not forced to go through Cadwell gold and silver to get the extra skill points.
  • MerlinGambino
I think they should have it so you can hire companions to help complete the quests you need 4 people for in Craglorn.

Solo, there's a ledge you can climb on to kill two of them with a bow before taking on the third & her adds 1x1 at ground level.

I've been Craglorn for months solo, and in pre 1.7, got rhough about 2/3 of the map, all skyshards, and a few quest lines.
eg: Killed the nasty sorc Kitty (trying to not spoil here) but couldn't kill any of the bosses on the way to her...and used a LOT of soul gems....got a sack full of different gems and the such that I can't charge, a few books, etc.

However: Post 1.7, I simply can not take out many bosses (& some trash groups) solo I had pre IC dropping.
The nerfs to stamina regen & cost of stamina abilities, increases to NPC damage mitigation & their attack dps, combined with losing any buffs from Cyro campaigns, have made solo-ing there so much harder than it was.
I'd suggest I couldn't clear anything solo the way the NPC's in there are hitting now.

You still find people in upper craglorn that steal resources under your nose while you kill the mobs that were guarding that resource... MMO players.. such a friendly bunch when there is something personal to gain

I never done a Crag-quest. I was to busy PvP'ing. When I wanted to do crag, I never found a person on same quest stage or people willing to do it. I just wish it was made for solo or duo (so me and my wife could do it). I don't need to stinkin' reward I just want to do it for the story.

All I even got from Crag was the skyshards.

The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Yeah, but you have to find people willing to join and help you without getting quest completion because they missed half the stages. Plus it can be inconvenient sometimes, like when we lost a group member towards the end of Shada's Tear and we had to heal the new guy through the water because it was toxic to him.

@MerlinGambino you can 2 man most content with a tank and magicka based DPS who can off heal/ maybe if have vigor as stamina based

i have found i needed to group most of the time, and 2 was enough players. So you can do most of the content. Though definitely needed a 3rd man for skyreach catacombs and some of the larger public delves final bosses. They are like group instances in their own right. Some content may take a few tries depending on your ability
That fight against Virmaril the Betrayer, my god was that a challenge even with 3, took a while to decide just all DPS him when in execute range as there were too many wraiths spawning....horrible.

anyway its such a shame. its really fun and amazing content and so much to do and see but only accessible to groups. And without that it would kind of spoil it. if craglorn content wasnt so hard and in need of group play it would kind of ruin how fun/rewarding it is. Its worth trying your best to get a group just to be able to experience the public delves (very rewarding experience)

if its any consolation All the outside public magical anommalies are very easy to do solo. The Anka-Ra Burial Sites and Nirncrux Mine are a bit harder, haven't got them down yet solo, but you normally find others doing them or easily 2 manned.

PC NA: I have completed all of Craglorn on my main, the lower Craglorn questline on my sorc, and I want to complete the map with her too, and I kinda started with my templar.

A few things you need to keep in mind: With 2 exceptions for the main questline in Lower Craglorn, you do NOT need 4 people.

There is one step in The Corrupted Stone where you need to have 4 people to open a gate, and then the first step in The Missing Guardian where you need 4 people to open a gate. Everything else can be done with fewer people.

Someone who has completed the questline can help you. This was a big issue in the beginning where people who had completed the quests couldn't help their friends. This has been fixed.

If you hear someone in zone saying "Need 1 more person to open portal", go help them. They don't even need you to continue with them after that (but you can if you want to), and they are likely to return the favour.
