Medium Armour: Why do the hats look silly?

I wish they looked that cool.

So far I've noticed every medium hat I wear looks stupid. I've tried different styles, yet I continue to keep Hide helmet turned off in the settings (Thank you so much for this option ZOS).
Do any of you guys have suggestions for ones that don't look ridiculous?

Haven't had much experience in the veteran ranks yet. Do they come in all levels, or just top tier?

I can probably count on one hand how many armor sets I actually liked in all of TES series I've played to date. I've kinda gotten used to the fact that at some point in my adventure, I'm gonna look ugly

At least Orc and Nord medium armor looks ok.....

There are also only a few that I like, but the two you mention aren't included. So maybe there is something for everybody when it comes to style in ESO.

Ah unfortunately my DK isn't vet yet, but sounds like he'll have to get there if I want a nice helm. I'm rather happy with the rest of the armour, it's just the head piece that's really sucky at the moment

Yeah I am not a fan of the Imperial medium armor look at all. Heavy looks great however.

Nord is fine, but I still tend to hide helms on most of my characters.

Vet has nothing to do with it, the style doesn't change after level 36.

And I'd say the two good ones are Dwemer and Xivkyn.

Some Medium Helms look OK for example the Bosmer does. Well, it covers the face of the Pillsbury Dough Boy I created. I also think it is good for the Stealthy Assassin types. For the most part, I don't show my helmets, so what they look like does not matter.

The level of detail changes quite a bit from lvl36 to V14 gold.

Newsflash: The animations mostly look silly too.
So do many of the bodypaint armors.

Medium Argonian and Bosmer look bad a** if you dye it. Hell Argonian is the only armor I love light, medium and Heavy (not the helm, that thing looks like ***)

I really like the medium hircines veneer helm - shame it's rather niche! Think that's about the only single one I like!

Most of the helmets in this game are just terrible. I just choose to hide helmet until they come out with a good looking one.
