Right? He bought a V12 Warlock ring to complete the 5-piece set, and now he never runs out of magicka. I've been tanking in 5x Histbark and 5x Warlock for a very long time, and it is an amazing combo.

Considering the hardest content in the game right now is beaten with relative ease, and those min/maxing the quickest runs are looking for ways to increase damage, not mitigate damage or increase I healing I don't understand why any V12 set that may have marginal use for tanking is all that important.

As we already discussed in the thread earlier, the set in question has niche uses.

Warlock (for a DK tank, at least) does increase your DPS. It allows you to spam Whip anytime you have a few seconds free.

meanwhile my footman gear is sitting in a bank because a nightblade can tank most of everything self sustained while contributing 5 to 7k dps and serious hps. #willpowertanks
    @bbu - AD/EU
    Kasiia - Templar (AR46)
    Kasiir Aberion - Sorc (AR38)
    Dr Kastafari - Warden (~AR31)
    + many others

Willpower jewelry is certainly one of the best tanking sets.

Have you thought about using the Leaching Plate set with Unassailable since it gives the same 4 piece bonus (8% healing received)?

Yes, I want to try it out, but am considering 5 piece armor Draugr Heritage instead of Leeching Plate.

Leeching gets an extra 4% healing and has an overall all larger heal, albeit a heal over time. There is also know guarantee that it will proc when needed and I don't know if the set has an internal cool down.

Draugr Heritage gets an extra health boost and had a burst heal that will guaranteed proc when needed, albeit only once every 15 seconds.

Practically both are ridiculously difficult to obtain, but draugr may be slightly easier because the trait is fixed, dolmens are easier to farm, and the items are boe.

I thought it was 4% plus 4% = 8% total (the same as Unassailable)? Also no cool down whereas the 20 second cool down is fairly lengthy for Draugr. I might try them out on the PTS.

Well, it doesn't say there is a cool down, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.

Draugr plus lich = 12% heals
    Draugr plus leech = 16%

Edit: I made a terrible mistake

    Draugr + Unassailable = 12%
    Leech + Unassailable = 16%

Well you have inspired me to consider switching back to magicka tank (switched to stamina for IC) to take advantage of the stone fist heals, also I prefer magicka tank anyway

It is a balancing act for sure that consists of the following components.

Spell Damage + Magic = Stronger Obsidian Shard Heal
Magic Regen = More Obsidian Shard Casts
Stamina = More stamina back from Obsidian Shard cast

Not only is there a balancing act between the above stats with regards to obsidian shard value maximization, but players also have to decide what is best value versus what is excessive value.

It is also the case that Obsidian Shard doesn't exist in a vacuum. What is good for Obsidian Shard isn't necessarily good for other abilities. This is just another piece of the puzzle.

sooooooooooooooo........ what item did you buy lol

I would like to say, but decided to lower the chances of the set in question being nerfd by not giving out the information.

It is pretty clear that roles are being shoe horned into using the new sets and I really don't want tanking to be more limited.

You don't need to list it. Your forum account connects to your game account and now the Devs are checking your sets. WAY TO GO!!!!!!!

You are right, but the path of least resistance is easiest to take.
