What's the strangest group instance you've experienced?

I've had quite a few odd experiences in random groups throughout the game.
The other night, I was lurking around waiting for a dolmen to re-spawn and a Vr6 rocked up and asked if I wanted to group - so also being a Vr6, I accepted, as did a Vr5 who arrived. The first mush then disappeared and we joined them at a dungeon to find that the group leader was...Vr11. So, I'm thinking..eh? This guy must seriously be good to be able to take this on with players 5 or 6 levels below him. He wasn't!

✭✭✭Grouping in IC with vet friends... this all started when I was lvl 16.
Much weirdness.Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis -

✭✭✭He he - did you have a massive stock of soul gems or did your buds look out for you?
Oddly enough I really didn't die as much as I thought I "should". And yes, they did have soul gems (so did I); but also if you are close to a respawn point it really doesn't matter because you are often so close to where the rest of the group is - in that way it's like the exact opposite of surface/Cyrodiil.
Anyway, to the idea of buds - yes one of my partners in adventure is my spouse. Started out the week IC opened by going around the temporarily deserted Cyrodiil and skyshard hunting - my 16th level character got every single skyshard there (got the award and everything) so as I go up I have every possible passive.
The other thing that's played out well is that I'm playing a dunmer magicka DK using double flame destro staves with flame glyphs (heck, just call him a fire mage) and I pick abilities that have synergies or are useful to the team. So I do talons - won't kill anyone but it WILL hold them long enough for the v16 tank to slaughter them. It's kind of shocking how many DK abilities work well/synergize/overlap with other abilities. ✭Not exactly strange, so much as annoying... the times I have been seeking an on level group for an alt to complete a vet dungeon and instead end up getting only replies from capped players seeking to scale it down to my alt's level so they can blast through the instance in shortest possible time for a faceroll key upon completion. It's a pet peeve I have and one which usually lands my alts in very few PuGs as a result. ✭✭✭✭The LFG tool once put me in a group with lvl 30 (like me), vr1 and vr2. The dungeon scaled to vet. We wiped (obviously). They kept going. I had no idea what they were trying to accomplish and how, because all three talked only in German. I left and went to sleep.
