What's the best way to get XP for VR levels now?

Since they nuked most of the popular grind spots, what's the best way to rank up?

With the buffed veteran xp in Cadwell's G&S, speed questing is totally a viable way to level now. It's a vastly improved experience and feels much less futile.

You hardly get 1 Vet level during questing day. You'd get up to 3 Vet levels while grinding at the same time.

I've just jumped VR15.5 to VR16 in an hour in the AD area IC sewers just trying to escape back to the Pact area...with a few soul gem reincarnations, and a pug I bumped into.
That was seriously quick.
Gave up half way back as we ran out of soul gems & couldn't skirt a triple gold boss that was just awe-inspiringly evil on dps.

And yeah, I still think questing is the best way. Grinding a bit here and a bit there from one quest to the next is ok, but grinding all day? If this was my only option (thank The Three it isn't), I could "stay at home"

Try questing in the towns in Cyrodiil I gained my last 2 vet lvls doing those quests daily and best part you can get most of them done in about 2 hours.

PS you would also want to hurry before a enemy player comes and gets ya

I grinded from 10-16 in the sewers on my last character,next one is currently vr7 and just finished silver,only doing main quests and dolmens,world bosses

I already finished Gold and Silver and I'm only VR5 on my alt. The thing is I HATE questing and would much rather grind to max level and do end game content.

I've got the problem that I've finished Cadwell's Gold on my VR12 Nightblade months ago and now want to level him. The sewers aren't a bad way to go but the XP isn't what I hoped for. Any other suggestions? Or am I going to have to break down and buy some Perfect Roe and crank out some XP pots?

I used a XP pot and tried grinding Wayrest before I knew they nerfed it and only got about a millimeter of progress

Grinding is still the best way (I know because I'm just in the process of getting a new alt levelled I'm VR12 atm). I have averaged 1 vet level per hour grinding, you can't get anywhere near that with questing.

So for my money grinding is the best, I have also made 170k gold so far just selling the junk drops.

Put some music on and have at the, mobs :-) I find it strangely relazxing!!

Well then you must have leveled your alt up before IC dropped because they nuked killing mobs all together.

No I am getting that at the moment, the last couple of days I have averaged 1.2 million XP per hour in a duo, and around 700 - 750k per hour solo,

I'm on PC, DC side I can tell you a few spots if you PM me.

(Edit I am also using XP scroll)

I'll taking grinding over questing any day.. I so friggin hate questing.. worst feature of any MMO.

Questing seems far faster now, in one day I went vr1-5 just doing a couple sections of cadwells silver, whilst doing dolmens and delves etc

Grinding is obviously faster purely because there's no travel time between sections which is where questing let's the xp per hour drop, but on the plus side you do get lots of skyshards /loot/lorebooks/gold and items to research for traits.

Pre patch clearing one section of silver was about 1-1.3 vet ranks, now I'm getting 2-2.5 easily.

Idk where you guys are getting these numbers for leveling via quests... I'm almost done with cadwells silver and still vet 2! And I started on new update. Maybe my guy just hates me.

unless something drasticly changed, its not 1 level per cadwells almanac quests, its 1 level per entire zone.

unless something drasticly changed, its not 1 level per cadwells almanac quests, its 1 level per entire zone.

Doing the full zone you get 2 vet ranks per zone now.

Well I have just hit Silver area and my NB is already at VR5 and I have not done any grinding, I do all quests and kill mobs as I go past them or while on said quest.
