A rather complicated question

Hey everyone

I have this confusing question in mind for a long time already and would really appreciate if someone could give me the answer

The question is about specifically passive skills, which add a certain percentage of either magika, stamina or health to the character

The question is when you learn a skill such as Conditioning, which is an Imperial racial skill which (adds 12% of max stamina), does it work permanently and scale up with every change in your max attributes or it only applies once and is based on your current max stamina?

For example I am an Imperial Templar level 45 who has 10k stamina and I didn’t yet learn the skill Conditioning
Once I learn the skill three times, it should give me 1200, which is 12% of 10k, so in total I would have 11200

Now imagine that after a while I hit Vet level 3 and consequently have better gear on me. If you would to compare the raw max stamina (without the skill learned), which I had, when I was level 45 and now (without the conditioning), logically I would have more stamina at level Vet 3, which means that learning the skill Conditioning at level 3 Vet would give me more stamina, since my max stamina would be higher at level 3 Vet than at the level of 45

Now lets imagine another scenario
You are level 3 Vet and all of your gear is enchanted on health. Would you gain more benefits from Conditioning if you would have changed all your gear to stamina and only then learn the skill

The overall question do the skills which give you a certain percentage of any of the attributes scale up with your max stamina/ health/ magika, if not then every change in gear and thus in attributes could have given you more benefits from skill such as Conditioning

Then also, every time you change your gear to those which give you more stats would mean that you could have had benefited more from passive skills such as those which increase your current max attribute by a certain percentage.

Thank you
Hope someone understands the question

If I'm understanding you properly, then yes, all passives that change your stats based on a % WILL change with any and all changes to the stat it affects.

Keep in mind though that these numbers are additive and not multiplicative, meaning that if you have say Conditioning 12% and Bound Armaments (Sorcerer skill, another 7% stamina), then it will be +19% stamina added, not base value times 0.12 times 0.07

    Hope my answer helped!

It scales to however much stamina you currently have.

You can change your stamina stats all you want, the % bonus will still apply.

    Thank you for your answers)

So imagine I have 5K stamina and all my attributes are into health

Learning the skill Conditioning would give me 12% of 5k i.e. + 600 stamina, thus my overall stamina would be 5600

Now I have redistributed all my points from health to stamina, while Conditioning is already learned. Will I only still get the bonus of +600 stamina, or will the +12% of max stamina be scaled up to the higher max stamina I have, since I redistributed all my points from health to stamina

It'll be scaled to your new Stamina amount

    Thats interesting

Right now I am going to learn the skill Conditioning (since our skills have have reset) and I am running to all vendors to whom I sold out the rings with stamina, so when learning the skill which gives +12% of max stamina I would get the most benefit

Then I guess I don't have to, since the skill scales up to whatever you stamina is
