Is it worth it to spend gold/mats to upgrade current VR14 gear, or is it better to hold out until the DLC hits?

✭✭✭✭✭Wait. Definitely wait. I've got full sets of gold VR14 gear that I upgraded before we knew any details of IC. I haven't switched to new VR15 or VR16 gear yet, but it will happen in the relatively near future, and I'll have to burn through a bunch of upgrade mats to do it.
