Purchased nirnhoned at what seems to be an adsurd price - mistake by seller?

XBOX player. I always check the latest postings on a few guilds that I am. Today I found 5 fortified nirncrux for sale for 50,000 gold. Is this someone preparing for the market to crash or did he mean to list ONE for 50,000? Either way, I bought them in a heartbeat. This is not a sales thread. I was just wondering if the upcoming change to the nirnhoned trait would cause the price to fall like that.

Nirn nurfed, drop rate increased, prices fell on NA PC anyway. Proving hard to offload for some people.

With the nirnhoned trait being changed such that it no longer buffs overall spell resistance, I would expect their value to fall dramatically. I actually tried to sell as many as I could before update 7 in anticipation of this.

That's about what I see currently on PC. Maybe some one is pricing off the wrong platform. The current price on PC also dropped very recently, so preparing for a crash might also be a reason.

So it's selling for $10,000 apiece now? I am a crafter and need it to learn the trait, so this is good news to me. Even if the trait has been nerfed, I am a completionist and want to know it on every piece of armor and weapon.

As do I but so far I've never even sighted a piece.

On XBox EU, and two nights back dude was selling all he had @ $10k each, said he was in a hurry to sell, & one guy took it all...so I assumed this was in preparation for the price drop we hear of in IC.
Yes I should've used headphones so I could talk to him, so first time ever now I have them plugged in.

I have two pieces that were made for me. A guy charged me 5,000 gold and a fortified nirncrux to make each piece. I happened to have 4 stones that resulted from blacksmith surveys in Craglorn. Now I have 7 stones. Hopefully I run into this guy again (said he knew nirnhoned on everything) and I can have him craft me more pieces.

I just noticed the guy that sold the 5 at 50k relisted 5 more at 60k. Not buying.....yet.

Yeah, the prices for the Nirn research gear has also dropped dramatically on XB NA. Found one store selling all armor pieces for all three armor types for 20k each and almost all the weapons for 25k each. Other stores were similarly priced, though most were around 30-40k.

I'm mostly interested in Nirn research, as a completionist, and to be able to make the 9-trait sets.

Today I did 50-60 survey maps I had been putting off, the results were 20 armour and 10 weapon stones.

I have the same amount of surveys to get through on 7 other characters, I expect the numbers to be the same.

Why is Nirn so expensive? Generally its because economics in ESO is driven by young players who place value on an item because they are told its worth something, not because they actually know anything about it.

I am offloading over 200 of these stones over the last few and next few days at way below "market price" before people wise up and the value crashs.

I cant do them all at once else other people will see and wonder why. (i'm only posting this now because most are already gone)
