Does PVP increase your skill levels quicker?

Been in Cyrodiil for a week now, and one thing I've noticed is my skills levelling extremely fast. Am I spending more time in there than I realise, or do you get more experience towards your skills while PVPing?

You less exp in pvp than you would in pve, though it depends how good you are more kills = more exp

Though it's likely you spend more time than you realise as pvp makes time fly past ^^

I have noticed the actual character progression is slower, which is good. I don't want to outlevel BWB too fast. But my actual skill trees are increasing at accelerated rates, whereas in PVE land they were pretty damn slow. I was wondering if this is intentional.

I don't Pvp unless attacked, yet my VR12-VR14 in Cyro was much faster doing my Pve stuff than VR10-12 outside of Cyro.
Even so the dolmens and bosses were easier at VR12 (their stated levels) than the VR8-10 stuff outside of Cyro.
Perhaps better technique on my part helped the battles, but certainly the XP in Cyro appeared to rack up faster in my case.
I did it all as Pact with the board buff all AD, if that made my XP gain any faster?...
