I have run spindleclutch twice today and I gained 31292 on a character with an XP pot going, I ran it after on another without an XP pot and gained 44468

What is happening?

Hm... That is pretty odd. Were you running the dungeon on a different level, or different mode (e.g. normal or veteran) than the first time you did it?

ive been noticing even with the xp scrolls from the crown store that when I use them my xp bar doesn't seem to move very much- not gaining any exp as well

What level were your characters, what level was the instance and what level were the other group members? Did you get any achievements on the second character while you were in the dungeon? I have found that there is variation in the XP gained while running the pledges for some reason.

where you both chars v15? or did you done the dungeon twice with the same?

both characters are v15, i ran them both at v16 and neither of them gained any achievements as i got them months ago

Thought the same first, until i noticed ist just 44k, achivements give 200k

The reason I made a note of it is because I ran non vet white gold tower a couple of nights ago and didn't notice a difference in the amount of XP i got on the 2 characters (I had forgot the pot on the second guy) so I did a test today, same dungeon, same everything, different xp and higher on the one that didnt take a pot

I can completely agree with this as a bug of some kind used 2 xp scrolls only used 1 hr of the 2nd one. that being said 3 hrs of 50% bonus xp plus eso+ so 60% increase gained 1 champ point.... and yes was getting hits in kept getting a ton of items but no xp

Is it possible the XP pots have been changed so they only apply a bonus while leveling, but not once you're actually at V16?

Exp drastically dropped for me as well (cexp) when using pots and crown store scrolls. I'm pulling 366 champion point enlightened exp +ESO plus from craglorn upper and lower mobs. In Cyrodiil its about 700-1100 ebuff ESO plus. Better in IC if you actually tag a mob before the zerg drops it.

I was pulling in 3000 cexp in Cyrodiil per mob enlightented ESO plus pre IC...

maybe you outleveled whatever mobs you were doing? in particular V11 stuff, like spellscar, should yield less XP on V15 and close to nothing on V16.

on topic: i've been playing to V16 on an alt with a fried. i had a pot, he didn't. naturally, i was finished earlier. seems alright, tbh

Thank you Gina for keeping us updated, it is much appreciated. I know I use a lot of these and I'm about to start a new character and would hate to be wasting my 50% XP Scrolls if they're not actually working.

I had a response from Zenimax about the ticket i raised earlier about the white gold tower part - their answer? remove addons........

Just ran it again on another v15 with no xp pot and gained 43689 xp so it seems that around 43-44k is normal for a v15 in spindle running at v16, its just the xp stuff.

Thats what I am experiencing but I think that it is because they raised veteran levels to 16 and I get far less experience than I used to.

So if you want to level but do not have the DLC or do the dungeons in Cyrodiil where is one to go anymore? Is this now three months of waiting before decent experience gains?

I'm confused... are you saying that there isn't a problem with the XP scrolls now, or that there still is a problem that should be looked at?

im on console and only vet 10 so ic hasn't been out for me yet so I don't think its that and I grind on vet 9 mobs

There is still a problem, i just updated the thread with what I know

I gained 10k less xp doing the dungeon with an XP pot

Hopefully @ZOS_GinaBruno is able to get some information on this... I wonder if it's ALL XP that is being effected in this way or just specific areas / levels?

Zahne, did you use xp-pots pre patch and if so did they work for you ? as I myself have never used any before and damned if I'll buy them now if they are knackered lol

@ADarklore the OP and the quote post state that using an XP pot running spindle V16 (as a V15) ~31,000 XP running it 2 times now without XP pot under the same conditions got ~44,000 XP

therefore XP pot is firstly not working, but secondly actually doing the opposite it seems. reduction in XP gained by 42%

At first glance, these appear to be working properly as we gained more XP up to the first boss in Vet Spindleclutch with a scroll versus without. We'll continue to investigate, though.
