I believe I should have posted this here instead of the General section, but whatever. Made a chart with numbers on it. It's not perfect but it's something.
Tests done on myself using a VR3 Breton Nightblade. Mostly just something to look at for personal decision.

    Thanks for the table!
One question though - did you have divines traits in armor and how many?

This chart proves what I've already suspected: The Apprentice needs to be BUFFED. There is no point whatsoever in choosing the Apprentice over the Mage.

I wonder what is the role of the passive bonuses there, as the test character was breton NB with percentage based magicka increases from race and class passives (potentially). Due to these Mage might come closer to the Apprentice than on another race/class. Apprentice is still giving larger numbers of the two, so I don't exactly agree with your statement that no point in using Apprentice. It may be so for your character but I wouldn't make a conclusive judgement from this.

Green quality 5/5 Seducers & Warlock set with 3x Divine(4.5%) traits.

Due to champion point shenanigans, I can no longer reproduce these exact numbers.

This is super helpful. I have a V16 NB healer and have been running the Ritual Mundus stone for a long time. Glad to see my decision in using that this update still holds true for better healing. Also kudos on the super clean and visually helpful image, thanks!

Maybe I'm just have a moment of no brain power, but I'm not understanding the numbers on the right side in the orange/tan color. Can anyone explain them?

The reason I said this is because I'm a Sorc, and the Mage adds more than 1000 points to the strength of Hardened Ward, while Apprentice adds nothing to Ward strength and only adds a few points to healing and damage spells.

Mage is a no-brainer for Sorcs until they increase the Spell Damage increase you get from the Apprentice. It probably needs to be buffed by around 50% to make it worth the sacrifice.

The top number is the base heal value when used on myself. The bottom number is the healing number when it crits.

I used to watch you and the creatures over a year ago. Clicked that signature link and got a surprise. But yes, First time using google docs and had to figure out how to even do it, I'm satisfied with the outline though.

If you are a pure healer, Ritual seems like a fine choice. Atm my nightblade is setup for regeneration though. Mage and apprentice can be alright for someone who does DPS while they heal, like a nightblade does. That's about it on my thoughts from what I tried to figure out.

    Agreed!

VaxtinTheWolf, this is an excellent, truly helpful post of informed, really useful healing outcomes, that's really clearly presented.

    Thank you!!

Thanks for the chart. Looks cool. I may have to look at the Apprentice again, as I am going more magicka now in my build.

Just a FYI, to get it out in the forums again, and this seems as good a place as any.

I tried stacking Divine traits yesterday with the Ritual stone. Putting on three Divines armor did not seem to affect my healing numbers, AT ALL. I think either Divines is bugged, or the Ritual stone.
Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.
