This game needs improved stealing

The best MMO of all time gave the ability for players to steal from other players. You could actually sneak up to them, look at their inventory, and (with a little luck) steal an item or gold. That should be implemented in ESO. It would create an exciting, dynamic, and fun MMO atmosphere.

Would be easy to abuse, so there'd have to be severe limitations. Stull to prevent higer level players from screwing over lowbies by emptying their pockets, or make theft of anything really important impossible... just let people steal trash items, common potions and a small percentage of gold, and then give an "already pickpocketed today" status that prevents multiple players cleaning out someone...

With some of that... it could be interesting, IF the final phase of the justice system was implemented. So that PC enforcers could be ready, waiting, itching, for that pickpocket to be caought red handed so they get to cry "Stop right there, Criminal Scum!" and pound them into dust bunnies... ;-)

Technically, you can steal from other players. In the IC anyway.

    You must be trollin' ;)

This never needs to happen. It's a #%€¥ show ZOS likely wants no part of. Giving players the incentive to grief and harass one another isn't exactly conducive to a healthy playerbase. Players would jumpship in droves and the game would be dead sticked from the invitable lawsuits once this spilled over into the real world and someone got swatted or stalked.

Agreed. You shouldn't be able to steal another player's hard earned money or Daedric armour.

Only if people who have that ability enabled get no more respawning... perma-kill the next time someone catches you stealing! With all the stolen items sent back to their owners by the guard in mail... ;)

Being able to steal anything from anyone works great for a single-player RPG or a game that doesn't have items that take a ton of dedication and work to find. But in an MMO where we have to pray to RNGesus to get a survey report to have a chance of getting nirncrux or running through trials several times to get a full item set, as well as allowing people to steal things like top-tier upgrade materials, that would just make someone want to quit if people could up and take your hard-earned items.

Please hush, knowing ZOS they will make it to where people can steal all your stuff. Why do u think all those old mmo's that allowed people to steal from one another died?

Nah... this is a bad idea. There will be even more rage. I think there is enough of that already. LOL
