PC Magicka NB Siphon Tanks...

Any PC players playing the role listed in the title, how has the changes to the class skills (siphoning attacks, 30% stamina regeneration passive) affected your character? As of right now, being on console, just reading the changes have me worried my build will be blown to hell...

I tested this out a bit and it seems fine. I use the toggle version of Siphoning strikes (the other morph is now a clickie power) and keep entropy and swallow soul up on targets for the extra health recovery.

My build is heavy magika and I don't really rely on block except for obvious attacks so the block nerf doesn't really affect my play style.

I'm sticking with siphoning attacks on my siphon tank. It works, but can be difficult to balance aggro, attacking and refreshing buffs. When rng's with me, I'm still pretty tough, but miss an attack and when you're playing bar roulette and I'm toast.

Does the cost of refreshing SA hurt the return on resources now? It just seems like you will hardly get any magicka return now that you have to spend magicka every 15 seconds to cast SA...

I went with the toggle version. Only get magika back on generic attacks, so have to make as many of those as you can while tanking.

I try to get entropy and swallow soul in on as many targets as possible, taunting and getting in generic attacks along the way. Not as awesome as it was, but still works pretty well.

A bit. I cannot spam swap essence as much as I need to save magic to cast SA again when it ends.. I have to light attack much more to get it procing. I added summon shades into to my rotation which help both by buffing resistance and each of its attacks also seems to count towards the proc chance. I haven't tried path of darkness, but my guess is that its dot might help trigger more procs.

The biggest trouble I'm having is figuring out when SAs timer is up so I can refresh it. Unless I've got the speakers up, I can't tell that SAs over with all of the other on screen effects going on.

My 1.6 rotation was a lot simpler.

This sucks. I guess I'll have to level up the other morph that'll be the toggle, Leeching, just in case SA is completely wrecked.

Can you cast entropy on multiple targets at once, or does the second cast cancel the HoT of the first cast?

Entropy can HoT from multiple targets, cast it it on 6 enemies and get 6 HoTs

I swapped my NB healer over to magicka tank and love siphoning strikes. The key is keeping your magicka regen high enough to spam funnel health (or swallow soul) and keeping caltrops and refreshing path up on the boss, as this will feed you a ton of resources. The cooldown for sihpon is perfect to because I just refresh it when I refresh the 15 sec taunt timer on the boss! As far as gear, 5 footman, 5 armor master (or whitesnake's), 2 monster set is an awesome set-up for NB tanks. I don't use histbark because I have mirage and that is 20% dodge all the time!
