Finally had the chance last night to log in and play since the changes and was dreading running a vet dungeon having read all of the posts about the stam regen changes. I'm VR15 with 138CP and am very much a casual - get time to play a couple of hours maybe 3 or 4 days a week.
I took the quest and saw it was vet CoA which filled me with dread, but I have to say I found no issues with managing stam. This was with a guildie DD and PUG sorc healer (no shards, repentance!) and second DD.
I haven't changed my build/setup at all, which was always focused on stam regen rather than massive amounts of armour/health. With the WW ulti slotted and Green Dragon Blood running I'm at about 1900 regen and that's on a Dummer so far from ideal stam tank race!
I run 5 footman and then mix 2 or 3 piece bonuses to get stam regen plus bloodspawn shoulders for the 1 piece regen bonus.
My tactics were always run in and cast talons/ash cloud (no caltrops yet) and then puncture and deep slash every mob in the trash packs. I would then lay down the two DK stam dots (burning breath and unstable flame), pull mobs in with chains and generally bash everything to death until it needed taunting again. Before the patch I had infinite stam as my regen outweighed skill costs.
I changed almost nothing last night with the exception of no perma blocking in trash packs - I used talons/ash cloud to give myself a second or two to regen, but could still taunt/debuff every mob and throw out some burning breath aoe stam dots.
As I said I'd class myself as a very average player and don't have a huge number of CP. This isn't a 'look how great I am' post but a genuine attempt to help! If you're struggling since the patch I'd really recommend going for a heavy regen build - it's even easier if you have a stam focused race. My attribute points are split evenly between health and stam so I have ~23k health and ~19k stam, probably considered quite small. I use magika and stam regen drinks (still using VR10 atm). This was with a sorc healer too so if you have a temp with stam regen skills it will be even easier. I think I used about 10-15 stam pots throughout the dungeon, all on bosses that spawn adds.
