Also, what happened to ZOS switching to a base lvl 50 (just one veteran rank)?

If they are like me, they hit VR15 as soon as they killed a skeever once the update launched. Anyone with a VR14 that they had done something with had points towards VR15. In my case, I had 849,999 points and just needed one point to be VR15. After that, finding 850,000 points worth of mobs is easy. More so if you had an Ambrosia or two.
This part i don't get..maybe its easyer on console lol but i have a vr 14 full yellow healer rocking 5 warlock 5 seducer master (14) healing staff..and i have a vr 9 with all his materials to yellow out his tank gear..
I mean did i miss a mmorpg message..Cause last i knew every time there was a DLC for a game your old gear became OLD and it was time to grind for new gear or set..shrug..and yes once the annouced the xp drop per level and xp boost per quest/zones most people knew it take the same amount of time as grinding 1 vr level..lest on console i should say

Not easier on console, you just obviously play the crap out the game and grind like grinders of every platform do. I've had the game since release day on Xbox and still haven't hit vr1
What? How can you hit 50 in that time frame? I'm switching between 3 characters which slows things down a bit but I've put in much more then 14 hours for each and there's still so many quests, the main quest and much of the zones left to explore. (none of them have officially reached their higher zone like Bangkorai, etc.)leepalmer95 wrote: »well considering getting to level 50 takes about 7-14 hours your really taking your time ^^ i have a v14 and a v11 and i've had it since launch
They didnt raise the Cap to make you grind out V16. They raised the Cap to allow for gear progression, something that has become more and more stale with the way the game went after 1.6 with no new content added whatsoever.
Also I believe they want previous V14 characters to be able to reach V16 quickly by doing the quests available in IC, combined with some fighting, so they gave the V14 chars v15 for free.

That doesn't happen in "normal" play. It happens when you do things a particular way, usually with some help, and usually with some kind of XP booster. If you're just playing the game this will not be true for you, or anyone else really.
I wish comments like the one you replied to were not just thrown out there like some undisputed fact. I mean, they are not lying, you can level that fast, it is not impossible, but it's also not going to happen by accident in the normal course of playing the game. Don't worry, you aren't really taking your time, you are playing like most people play. The 7-14 hours is the outlier. It's not the wrong way to play, but I wish people who levelled that fast didn't think it was or should be the norm.

The gab between a long term PvP player and a new VET 14 is insane. They really needed to limit the difference of power not make it even bigger making new people joining PvP just spending 90% of the time dead and then respawning.

What r u doing that u don't have a VR1? I've played since day 1 console and have a vr14 and vr2 and I work 8-10 hours a day and drive an hour to and from work. You must play once a week. I can get a toon to vr1 in 10 hours or less

Except that they never slowed the down the progress being made with CP. Every bit of experience that people earned while going to V16 still contributed to CP gains. It's not like they said NO YOU CANNOT GET CP UNTIL YOU HIT V16.Pangnirtung wrote: »Firellight wrote: »People are reaching v16 already, so what's the point of the grind?
I think that the point of V16 is to SLOW down the progress that characters were making with Champion Points.
Once you get to V16 the difference between you and most mobs in Tamriel is so great that you benefit very little in the way of getting experience.
Very clever whoever thought that up.
