Build design seems... Boring with the new IC sets. Please tell me I'm wrong.

So I did a bit of build planning when IC patch notes were initially released and realised that the builds were not too interesting (as a magicka sorc, I haven't looked at other class builds yet). However, now that the full patch notes have been released and its become apparent that any non IC sets are not intended to be used by end-game players, I've tried to come up with a build I can use when IC releases on PS4.
What I came up with is simply using:
5 PC overwhelming set
+ the willpower set
+ the molag kena monster set
+ 1 masters destroy staff or 1 generic VR16 destro (which ever has higher dmg)
The only difference I could come up with between builds is what 5pc set to use or what monsters helm to use.
Currently, there are 3 best in slot set items, the 3 piece willpower (or agility or endurance).
It seems like there is absolutely nothing that comes close to competing with these 3 piece sets and as a result I cannot work in any other sets that utilize jewelry/weapons as they would handicap my build.
Even if the 3 piece sets weren't the best in slot. I couldn't combine any of the IC sets on any meaningful was as they don't even contain options for jewelry or weapons.
I don't see any possible combination where I could integrate a set weapon into my build besides going with torugs. If I want a destroy staff, or 2h,there is no way I could build it into a set.
Any other sorcs find an interesting build or am o simply stuck with choosing what 5 piece set I want to use as my "build"?

The found that designing builds weren't boring at all. There were tons of viable sets that could be combined to take advantage of different 2/3/4 set bonuses.
For example I could run a 4/4/3 build with martial knowledge, seducers and healers sets to take advantage of the non 5 piece sets. Or I could combine warlocks armors + necklace, cyrodils light rings, torugs armor+ wep or some.other combinations.
There were so many options and I could have spent hours considering different combinations of gear.
Now I completely designed my build in... 5 minutes? Yay0
