Thundering Presence and Boundless Storm effects Swapped?!

While re-doing skills this evening I'm really glad I made sure to re-read all the descriptions instead of just reselecting all the skills I knew I previously had because the effects of the morphs for lightening form have been swapped - why I don't know - Which Means that while I had skill built up under Thundering Presence if I still want increased duration instead of extra speed I now have to select Boundless Storm which does not have any experience built up under it. Why in the world would they flop these in such a way that you loose your development of the skill but the effects to choose from haven't really changed much. What is the point of such a confusing switch? Was this a mistake? I have no idea how many other morphs could have had a similar thing happen but I'll definitely be going through things thoroughly on my other characters as well.

Thundering Presence is now STAMINA-based, they changed this to give Stamina Sorcs something, even though this isn't what they wanted in the first place.

Yeah I can see some sense to making the one that adds speed use stamina instead of magic, but I don't know why they would needlessly confuse people by switching the names. They could have just kept calling it Boundless Storm and changed it from magic to stamina, they didn't need to swap the names. I would expect changing some details of a skill, or even renaming a skill entirely if they've totally changed what it does, but not mix-and-matching existing effects and names, so I mostly just wanted to point that out for the sake of others who might want to get the re-spec over with quickly and not notice that familiar names have swapped effects with each other.

Thundering Presence (magic) = increased duration --> Thundering Presence (stamina) = increased speed
Boundless Storm (magic) = increased speed --> Boundless Storm (magic) = increased duration

They didn't swap the names, they made changes to each of the skills.

Here are the changes from the update notes:

Boundless Storm (Lightning Form morph):
Fixed an issue with the visual effects associated with the Major Expedition buff lasting more than its 6 second duration. We also increased the duration of this ability to 23 seconds from 15 seconds at Rank IV. It retains the Major Expedition buff at the current maximum value of 7.5 seconds.

Thunderous Presence (Lightning Form morph):
This ability is now a Stamina morph.
Decreased the duration of this ability to 15 seconds from 23 seconds at Rank IV.
Grants the Major Expedition buff for a maximum of 4 seconds at Rank IV.
It now deals 300% more damage during the first 4 seconds after activation.

Now do I just drop it completely? Hmmm I really hate the change... was on the fence now im thinking it sucks.

I dont wanna put points into stamina just for an effect that just barely lasted long enough as is. Now that it kills my synergy and doesn't last as long I don't like it one bit.... grrr.

Ohh and the 300%? I had it doing 250ish before (THIS IS ASSUMING THE DAMAGE IS STILL MAGICKA BASED) it would now do 750ish? Meh. If it is stamina based damage, screw that

Edit: how about making the magicka version not a big ol' pile of suck? Its worthless in combat

So they switched them.
At that moment millions of households across the world put that 1st crisp in their mouth and in unison said..

Also so now both have the speed increase? So... despite 3 seconds... why would u choose... wtf ever, bolt is better for travel... at least im not a stamina based char, count my blessings right?

ok, yes I see they did add speed to both, but previously if you wanted longer duration you picked thundering presence. Now if you want longer duration you have to pick boundless storm. That is where the change is confusing.

Thundering Presence used to increase the duration, but now what makes it unique from the other is the extra damage on activation (and stamina cost). Boundless Storm used to just add speed but they moved the increased duration effect over to it instead of leaving it where it was.

Thundering Presence
previously "New Effect: Increased Duration" now "New Effect: Ability now scales off weapon damage and max stamina. grants major expediation increasing movement speed. deals additional damage when activated."

Boundless Storm
previously "New Effect: Gain increased movement speed while active" now "New Effect: Gain increased movement speed while active. Increased duration."

What is stopping you from using Boundless Storm? The skill will level back up in in no time.

Well there isn't the spell resist right? Doesnt it last a shorter amount of time comparatively? Maybe im just misunderstanding the boundless

Only difference between the two now is that boundless got its resist duration buffed (both spell and armor) while thunderous got its resist duration shortened, got a short speed buff and deals bonus damage for the first few seconds (while scaling from stamina).

I had a knee jerk reaction of GAH when I first noticed the change too but I actually love the change to boundless storm!
