Soul Strike vs. Power Overload

My character is a Veteran Lvl 8 Sorcerer and up until now I haven't really been changing my skills. But I reset them all and decided because I had so many skill points left over to try out a new thing. I decided to try out soul strike and to be honest I quite like it. But now I have a problem on deciding to use Soul Strike or my Power Overload which I have always used. Can anyone tell me which one is better? I haven't morphed soul strike yet either so I'm really unsure

Both. Theyre both good for different things. You can have a different ultimate on each bar.

Soul strike wont be available to later in the game when you finish the main quest if I remember correct. Its mainly useful in some pvp situations because it cant be reflected or dodged.

Power overload does a lot more dps because you can store up to 1000 ultimate.

No, lol. You can equip 2 weapons and swap between them. Each weapon gets its own action bar, each with its own ultimate. Christ dude, youre vr8 and you dont know this?

No wonder I get so much AP.

Overload.

Depends for pve or pvp, but to be fair theres better ultimates for both.

Go with Soul Assault. Overload is decent out of stealth if your enemy doesn't expect it and even this is getting worse with this patch, because they've changed the animation of Overload to be much more obvious and the TTK is too high now.

In combat, people will just block, dodge or play defensive as soon as they see you using Overload, which is easy due to the Activation animation.
I've added Soul Assault to my bar last week and it improved my combat performance by a lot so far.
