Disguises are a special case, as they have a "disguise" mechanic to get past enemy mobs in some quest.

So, new disguises only would make snese with new quests to use them in...

It would be really nifty though if we could have all those disguises removed and replaced with a costume matching their visuals and stored in the costume tab on completion of the matching quest though...

    ^^ +1 agree

Cannot see it happen but wishful thinking does not hurt anybody :)

Another idea: after completing alliance story-line you get mail with container containing all of the disguises from quests in all of the zones of that alliance.

It really is nice to have all the outfits but if that means when I unpack the container I all the sudden have 40+ diguises, that sure eats up inventory space. I have the max inventory space on my character and my bank is also nearly maxed out and yet I still have to run to nearest bank after I done a run on a dungeon. So I liked TheShadowScout's suggestion but then the present sales and reward system of Zenimax came to mind ...

I'm aware of that problem. It's just that my suggestion would be easy and fast (at least I think) to implement.
Better to have disguises in some form than not having them at all, right?

(Plus, you can remove things from containers one-by-one so there's that...)

It is not until I reach veteran ranks did I start to collect disguise. Has anyone made something like a compilation list of disguise sources?

i love the idea and support it but i only have one problem,
about a year ago i used to rumage through all the guild traders and purchase all the random costumes and all the random disguises i could find.
but with this new system now that you have most of the costumes now as unlocks makes it imposible to now find them being sold. so basicly now all the costumes and disguises are pretty much all unlocks and not able to be found. really upsets me knowing is a ton of them i dont have because can no longer be purchased.

Wouldn't mind this at all, bring in some real ancient Nord costumes (See Ancient Nordic Armor from Skyrim), even Dragon Priest robes.

The game does keep track of all quests done, all it needs would be to add the "disguise" costumes to the costume tab, and unlock them by checking "was this quest completed or not?", while removing the matching disguise item from inventory. Would be much easier on our inventory management options that way...

Andf then... they can go ahead and sell color-shifted variants of the disguise costumes in the crown store. So you would get the blue shirt servants outfit from the quest on Stros M'kai, but if you wanted a black shirted version, you'd have to go to the crown store for it... you get the blue-grey dark seducer outfit at V6, but if you like a red version, you might find that in the crown store... etc. (which would also make a lot of cheaply made crown store additions)

Yes you are right, better to have the disguises and I was not aware you could remove items from a container one by one. I wish I had known as I have a container full of treasuremaps saved for a moment in there I played all the zones free. Maybe it is because I enabled auto-loot that a container got fully unpacked when I clicked it.
