First time I always listen to and read everything. Second time through I usually just read, if it's a quest I don't remember well. Generally I don't feel immersed if I just rush through dialogue.

First time through I tried my best. Lots of side quests you can tell right away are silly, save my brother or gather seeds or whatnot, I skim that stuff. In DC it felt like a lot of male NPCs had very similar voices (same actor doing semi-different voice) and that bugged the heck out of me. Decent voice actors can do loads of voices (think Azaria or DiMaggio) and it's not totally immersion breaking. AD got real stale with all the Bosmer stuff, seemed a little whiny at times. EP is a little better since you at least feel like there's a war going on most of the time.

On repeat play through its awful tiring.

I listen to it most of the time, often even on repeat playthroughs. Not all of it, but the stuff I liked. And I catalog it with screenshots when I find it interesting, humorous, or worth revisiting. The voice acting doesn't always sit well, but that's because the same VO over and over gets old even with the best actors. The content though, that's been interesting and it's fascinating to get a good look at it more than once.

There's some real personality there and intriguing choices, and I find myself making long term emotional connections to these characters. Which is just... pretty fantastic actually.

I did the first time, certainly and I enjoy taking my time the first time in group dungeons as well, poking into all the nooks and crannies. Second time mostly ones I didn't remember well.
3rd and 4th times...well I was wishing for a "skip" option for the Prophets' speeches and such.

First time, yes and I listened to the acting as well. Second time I payed attention to the animation and listened. Tenth time, not so much.

FYI for the old players around here, if you haven't done the beginning in a while everyone knows they redid the Wailing Prison but how many realize they changed quests in the first zones? Alliance story objectives and places has changed some and even a few extra objective locations (more detailed objectives) have been added in places since launch.

Yes I've noticed that. In some cases "dumbed down" as well. Remember the rats in Marbruk? lol
I'm kind of waiting for awhile on my next go around so I "forget" some details to freshen it up a bit.

I like to read the character speech.

I'd like to see more text (subtitles) in general as I miss some of the dialogue due to family being noisy/hate having to switch my TV up loud.

I always read them, even on second and third playthroughs, for context of knowing more can help appreciate something I might not have fully understood the first time. I also take screenshots of dialogue I find interesting, or something that might be useful to remember. For example I found a lot of mentions of various historical Manes of Elsweyr throughout the Reaper's March storyline, and the last time I checked they haven't been documented on any of the wiki's. I should fix that sometime.

I only skip through quest dialogue in Group Dungeons because I don't want to hold people up. I'm sure the vast majority of people doing a Group Dungeon for the first time also do this, lol.

With my main and first character, I've read and listen to almost every quest in this game. Some of these quests are really well written and their story can be very funny or very sad sometimes. I took my time playing this game since April 2014 and I became VR14 several months after I started. I was never in a rush to play this game unless I grouped with other players, then I felt the pressure to move along fast or I'd stay behind the group that's already far away from me. I don't enjoy that very much. I like to take my time to explore and look around my environment, at the beauty of some tombs or delves/dungeons, but most players just whiz through the quests like it's the last time they'll play this game. That's mostly why I don't like to group, but in Craglorn and the undaunted pledge dungeons, you are forced to group, so forget about reading what the quests are about in there.I did most of the quests in Cyrodiil alone which could be suicidal sometimes, but I was lucky enough not to meet any alliance enemy players while questing alone. It's only while in a group questing that I've met group enemies and had to fight them. It is going to be that way in Imperial City too, so I'll see when I get there. If I don't like it, I'll be out of there fast unfortunately. I think I will start an ad in chat like this: LFG who likes to take their time reading and listening to quest givers while questing. Not sure I'll get any response to that ad though. :/

I read through them. I mostly don't have the patience for the voice acting though. I do see lots of people rushing through the content as fast as possible. If it's that boring to you, I'd play something else.

Most of the voice acting and dialogue is exemplary, and I am very looking forward to more (Orsinium, i.e.).

However, I am glad that you can skip if you want (whether due to repetition or being polite while in a group).

What really needs tweaking is the "spontaneous" exchanges in towns, where people say the SAME exact things EVERY single visit. The Craglorn wayshrine is one of the worst..."I'm gonna lose my shirt here..." There was a mod in Skyrim that would actually shut this stuff up unless you walked literally INTO someone. Variety, or less frequent please.

At least there are many quests that offer branching path choices that will lead to new dialogue.

    Me too - to both.

I also find myself talking back (in character) to the various NPCs. I have some characters that have very different reactions to the same NPC.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Not the original person but I don't get bored of the roleplay and listening/reading/acting out things. I go so far as to make choices in the game based on what I've built my character to be (yes, including the mages guild reward on one character I didn't take the 2 extra skill points).

Then again, I've been playing Elder Scrolls for a while and have even played a good bit of daggerfall and arena. The MMO side is new to me.

I kind of wish elder scrolls never became an mmo in a way. I would rather a Skyrim feel game but in Elsweyr or Hammerfell. Something like the Dragonborn dlc, it actually felt like you were experiencing new cultures and places but all locations in TESO feel sort of the same and merged. It is still a better game than I thought it would be though and it is still an 8 out of ten.
