Combating Good Sorcerers as a Magicka Nightblade

Every time I encounter one of a good skill level I just have to get away because they'll just sit in their minefield while putting detonation and curse on me attempting to burst me down. It's pretty much impossible to break their ward and harness magicka shield without them laying their full burst down on you and I can't get close to keep them CC-ed because of that minefield
I think of myself as a pretty decent magblade and I've beaten even other class in single combat but these guys are a pain. Though this is NOT a complaint tread I would like to ask some advice instead so, how do other NB's out there deal with them?

Keep your harness magika up. Look for an opportunity to cloak cast proxy detonation, if you can teleport strike + soul harvest or dawnbreaker of smiting (or other hard hitting ult) so the detonation goes off immediately after, you can at least make it through the shield (maybe?) Then, cast fear + keep pressure on. Repeat combo with concealed weapon instead if ult is down. If they have a 20k shield stack AND enough stam regen to always break free, you might just be out of luck. Then again, sorcs with those stats counter just about everyone 1v1 (can at least force a draw)

Then again, I have a terrible win rate against magika sorc that's prepared for me as a magika nb , so I'll stay tuned for other suggestions.

Theres a number of sorcs with bad stam management so keeping up your own shelds and wearing them down with cc will eventually give you opportunites to really hammer away at them. Don't run through their mines where possible, dart in and out and lure them out of there. Chances are once youve run through mines they will just bolt anyway.
A little hit and miss but casting invis often infuriates a number of sorcs into bolting around the place hoping to catch you; encourage their wasteful habits.

Fighting a regen sorc is about wishful thinking and hoping they stuff up with their shields at some point

Managed to beat a few sorcs out in the open world today, made me feel a little bit better about myself. Applying just the slightest bit of pressure makes them turn tail and run (because they can) but even if my crippling grasp is absorbed by your ball lightning it still activates the speed buff so they don't escape for long *evil laugh*

The one's that sit in their minefield will always be a problem but I guess it'll just come down to experience and moar champion points. I'm considering shadow image to run circles around them and confuse them maybe if they're just gonna sit in one spot.

Wait for next patch, get shield breaker set, obliterate them, enjoy the cries on the forum.

I usually mumble to myself how much of a bad joke sorcs are then go around them. Im sorry but the class in current meta is broken. They have the best survivability, maneuverability, and second best burst damage even with nirn the way it is.

Ask yourself: How can a sorcerer kill a magica nb (that is not vamp - you can kill any vamp with dbos) with the current meta.

They can´t if you´re equally skilled. It´s a forced draw if noone overextends.

Forced draw if NB stays in stealth and Sorc stands in mines.

it takes a skilled magica sorc to even dent a horrible magica nb.

but it doesent matter wich two magica classes face each other they if played properly are unable to kill each other thx to harness magica.

So many duels end up in draw right now, as long as both duellers aren't complete garbage and play relatively safe.

Less so when both sides are stamina builds tho, since they can't have obscene amounts of shields to counter epic bursts.
