A worry of mine about eso... way, way in the future...

I really really love eso. it is the perfect match of adventure, story, comrodory, and over all fun. to me it's the perfect MMORPG and I've played a lot of MMORPGs. however I am a console player on the Playstation and I do have one worry that concerns me and I don't know why I always think the veteran waffles are it is not too difficult is just the right amount of challengend to stick to one game and stay with it and console players tend to play one game and move on. now that's just the majority of console players mind you there are players that will stick to one game and truly play it out for all its worth.

my worry is that sense PlayStation and Xbox is separate platforms they don't play with each other the population might die over time given the fact that most console players move to game to game with all new games and the big releases of big companies and big names. don't get me wrong the PC has that option too. but what happens to your store now or 3 years from now when say if ever the population isn't full and you have all these dungeons and wonderful gear and wonderful class to do but no one to do them with? what happens when Xbox 2 or Playstation 5 comes out are you able to convert your character to the new platform does everything save that you've done? I really hope I'm wrong because I love Elder Scrolls and it is the game for me and for a lot of other players I'm sure.

I read the forms a lot and it seems like most console players complain about everything being either too hard too difficult for the veteran grind is just too much. and I would say probably 20 to 25% of the people that get to veteran levels quit because it is such a grind. To me I love how the veteran levels are the it is just the right amount of challenge.

TL.DR:
what happens to eso for console because console players game hop more than pc players game hop?

Or I am just worrying too much and over thinking it and just enjoy it (which I am to the fullest)

lol as if this isn't already going to happen once Call of Duty comes out. Hell it's already going to happen because MGSV: TPP is releasing next week.

People assume that players will leave once new games come out. I play ESO and have no interest in CoD , mildly interested in Metal Gear , meh on Fallout 4 etc.. The Witcher 3 didnt seem to stop people from playing ESO.

The only game for me that would take time from ESO is Uncharted 4 and those are short games with so so multiplayer so it wouldnt even be that much time taken.

I like how they decided to launch ps4 IC same day as Destiny expansion.

I wouldn't worry too much. ESO isn't just another game. It's a highly addictive MMO that consumes your very soul. Perhaps some may leave to try different things, but I assume they will be back in no time once they release how substandard they are compared to this god damn masterpiece.
