Been gone for a while, what's the news on VR? Going still, or staying?

I've dug a bit through the forums today, but I can't figure out if they've stuck to their guns about getting rid of Veteran Ranks, or if they've decided to go back on their word (again) and keep them. Can someone set me straight?

If they're still keeping them, I'm still stayin' gone.

ZOS said they will definitely remove VR levels but to don't expect it before Orsinium DLC (that will come end of the year probably)

Whoa... Wait... What? They said it's on it's way out, but in the mean time, they add more?

So if they were a physical fitness coach, they would tell their client that he's going to lose a ton of weight, but in the mean time, eat as much cake as possible.

They said they were going to remove it, but the latest news of developments states that they are going to add 2 more to make VR16 the new cap.

My plan has failed so far... I came back and played for a bit over the winter. They said the VR would be gone by June, so I figured that meant mid-August. I was way off.

Must continue to grind in case they give bonus to those that do in another fashion that means we are still holding advantage of other levels lower ...

Yeah VR16, coming. I'm sure in the one of the data mined threads, there were VR18 items. Of course, being data mined does not mean we'll see it in game. Might go search for the discussion.

Motifs 17, 18, 19 & 20. Does this equate to higher veteran ranks?

No, numbering of motifs have nothing to do with ranks. It simply means they are motif number 17, 18, etc

No it's more like Sony announcing the launch of a brand new awesome PS WTF that will cost a load of money and encourage you to save up. At the same time they will promise that at some undetermined future time after you buy it they will make a firmware update making it work exactly like a PS 2.
In other words, they made progression pointless until some undetermined "Soon TM". Even for people that didn't have a problem with vet ranks.
