My head is at floor-level?

DeltaFlame94
Whenever I exit or enter a dungeon, my head is always at floor-level for a couple of seconds (sometimes with frantically shaking environment when looking around) before I load properly. Is this normal, and are there any plans to patch this? It gets a little annoying after about a hundred dungeons of this. This issue has been around since nearly the beginning of my game, and I'm now currently on the "Cadwell's Silver" questline. I thought this issue would've been patched by now but it appears that I'm one of the only people this is happening to.

Also, I can usually see the entire vast under-world of the dungeon's (and sometimes the overworld's) map, with a textural grid or a sky texture.

    Hi @DeltaFlame94 !

To assist you we may need a little more information about your system. Sometimes if you're running close to minimum specs, or if you have your graphics settings set to very high with a mid-range system, you may experience the annoying texture and asset loading that you describe.

In the meantime, can you try turning your settings to minimum to see if this changes it at all? It may help us narrow down the cause for you!

    My graphics settings are:

    Graphics Quality: Ultra-High
    Texture quality: High
    Subsampling quality: High
    shadow quality: Ultra
    water reflection quality: Medium
    Maximum particle systems: 1451
    particle suppression distance: 68
    view Distance: 100

My computer is an Alienware X51 Desktop with Windows 10 (but I set ESOTU with Windows 8 compatibility because it kept crashing)

After setting it to minimum settings it seems to not happen anymore (although it seems to have Morrowind-level graphics now)

Hi @DeltaFlame94 ! That does narrow it down a bit. What kind of processor and GPU do you have with your machine? There are a ton of configuration options for the X51, so we want to make sure we're troubleshooting the right spots here for you. Thanks!

I'm not exactly skilled with computers in those terms, would you possibly be able to help me find out what my processor and GPU are? Where should I look for that information on my PC?

it is a very common issue, but it really is no problem at all. it appears that the camera is slow to connect to the characters head when spawning in. this happens to me all the time, usually after a travel/transition. i ignore it because it causes no problems. you should too, unless you want to greif yourself chasing shadows trying to fix it.

i believe it has to do with loading of assets into the engine when shifting locations - ie: it not quick enough before the game starts drawing to the screen. another 1 second pause before drawing might help . . .

    Hey @DeltaFlame94 !

After checking over your system specs, it does look like it may be related to your GPU and processor. They are both right at minimum or slightly below, and your GTX 745 has a lower effective memory speed than our minimum required card.

If you're able to play at minimum graphics settings, you can try slowly increasing your graphics quality until you reach a good compromise of good play quality without it taxing your system so hard.

    Thank you again!
