Just for a sliver of hope that it is in the next patch......something.
*sigh* Welp back to Witcher 3 and their amazing in since launch PC controller support.

The struggle is real. I'm glad that they plan to have it be seamless like it is in Witcher 3. It's nice to be able to grab the mouse for things like crafting or moving things from bags to bank etc... -
flintstone✭✭✭I have been using my xbox controller for two years now (along with a razor mouse)......I hope they don't offer full controller support (ie.......plug and play).......I'll stop playing if they disable my mouse with my controller plugged in. -

And just like @flintstone suggested, I'd prefer them to not add it...because I like configuring it how I want with my controller, keyboard and mouse. I don't want to be forced into using 2 or 3 three premade loadouts that are not how I set-up, like the consoles. I played on PS3 for about 20 minutes before I got fed up with the controls and came back. I don't think it's a major issue because you can already dl software and/or addons that allow you to use a controller. I've been using a controller successfully for over a year. These programs work good but not great and eventually become an annoyance since they need pretty regular tweaking and patches tend to change or break functionality. My wife and I both maxed out 2 characters before we got tired of playing with a third party program.There is just no replacement for native controller support.
And I know some might say "why not just switch to console." Well we wanted the best graphics paired with the most laid back experience. I would say that was a silly request of not for so many other cross platform games like Dragon Age, Skyrim, Witcher 3, already having the support on PC in with out an after thought. ESO is playing catch up at this point. It's just time already. -
I'm waiting too.
I was hoping that the newest content patch would provide it. Alas from what I heard there isn't controller support. I haven't bothered to login and see for myself that it's not there. -

It might be the kind of idiot who:- Wants the best of all worlds combined
- Has a large 50 inch HDTV
- Has a powerful PC
- Has that powerful PC plugged into that HDTV, in their living room
- Plays games on that huge 50 inch TV as opposed to the average PC gamer playing on his super-immersive 24 inch monitor and bragging about it
- Uses that combination to watch movies, television

- Has typed enough at work all day, and doesn't want to put more strain on his wrists or use a typing device to play games
- Likes to configure how his games control himself, and determine which button presses activate what
- Doesn't assume that HDTV or controller are only for console
- Doesn't assume things he doesn't know about
- Uses 1 brilliant combination for all his entertainment in one unit, and actually saved money while having the best possible experience for all kinds of entertainment

Exaclty.
That's me. My work days is excel spreadsheets, non-stop data entry and replies to emails. I just want to relax with a controller when I get home. I might try and get pinnacle working again but can't wait for native. -
My wife and I are back in with pinnacle and the controller support UI mod. If anyone wants to check it out just search "controller support" on esoui.com. Best way of playing with a controller on the PC we have used so far and I recommended to anyone that is waiting for native support.

After last patch my Controller support started bugging out. Arrows + option key UI is centered on the screen and cant be moved, i did update the lib, didnt change anything

Did you do anything special?
I did a full reinstall of the mod making sure to delete all the old files. Also make sure to set your key bindings up like it says in the read me file. -
GrimMauKin✭✭✭✭The have been controller options in the configuration file for months and, bizarrely, one of the tips that I get given whilst loading suggests pressing that large green X key on the Xbox controller to bring up something or other, but actual controller support seems a long time coming!I am one of The Great Mediocracy, those whose role in life is to provide the baseline by which The Few deem themselves Great. -
