Under 50k

Never had more than ... about 40k so far. Every time I get about that high, I "need" a bank slot, or someone (8 characters on each account) needs a bag upgrade, or somebody needs to buy something at the traders to fill out a set (those infamous warlock rings generally kill my "budget") or a friend needs some cash.

Been playing since Beta and EA and I've never been able to find a good way to make any cash for this

most I've had at any moment I think was somewhere around 100-150k, and that was awhile ago, now I'm currently sitting at 80-85k can't remember at the top of my head.

been hovering around 500k for weeks now. I had been selling alot of food on guild traders and it was starting to add up, but those same guild traders havent been able to secure any spots since...so i havent been selling anything at all lately.

500k - a cool mil

Currently around 600k gold.

But then a million worth of tempers (Rosin, Dreugh Wax and Tempering Alloy - not counting the purple ones or lower). Also there's stacks of herbs, ingredients, materials (min 2k of each needed for top level writs), style and trait stones (nirnkrux, dwemer frames, daedra hearts, etc. - not counting the cheap stuff), a bunch of V11 to V13 martial knowledge (unbound), though that's not worth a lot, golden ravager stuff that I still intend to use on a twink sometime (unbound), other golden set crap from campaign rewards, 5 pieces as of yet unused V14 healer pieces (but reserved for a twink)...

I'm a collector, most of my wealth is in goods, not gold. 3 mules and a bank full of stuff.

It's now down to 2 million for me after helping a really great friend gear up. He owes me tons!! But really it's so easy to make money on this game, I am really trying hard to respeccing every time and end up make more in normal gameplay.

I make about 100k in 5-6 hours if I really work on it but right now I must have somewhere around 10k and i owe 100k to a friend who tossed me 2 Cyrodill light rings... I have some farming to do this week XD. At least IC is not coming on PS4 before another 2 weeks so I'll have time to build up some more before then.

What works :

- Farm=>sell. Look at what's most expensive and farm=>sell. Or farm=>refine=>sell tempers. Or fish => fillet => sell perfect roe. Or any variant of this.
- Do weekly VDSA (only weekly with worthy + unbound rewards) and sell rewards (VERY hard - not selling, but reaching top 100 scores in weekly VDSA)
- Flip (buy cheap => resell high).

What doesn't work :

- Craft => sell (everybody can craft or have friends/guildies who can)
- Sell common looted stuff (everybody loots the same). That's for NPC trash vendor. Same for common recipes. Don't bother listing anything under 100g.
- Crafting on demand. Costs a lot of time for little money, people usually don't know exactly what they want, you have to do their theorycrafting, etc.

heres an easy gold method for stealing - if you steal only items labelled "treasure" you get the most out of the in game fences at the outlaw sanctuaries. everyone starts off with a cap of 100 items to be sold. the lowest common denominator of gold you can get from treasures is "30 gold" for a White treasure.

selling 100 white items a day ( only can sell 100 a day meaning 100 stolen items a day) will get you 3k gold per day. making average of 90k per month at the very minimum.

stealing green blue, purple and gold treasures only increases the profit. you can average up to 10,000 gold per day, so a 300,000 gold profit per month if you are diligent on thieving and on getting higher tier treasures

you can also increase the number of fenced items to be sold per day in your ledger-man skill tree.

this is an extremely simple way of making gold without many prerequisites, just dont get caught as the risk - reward is very high ( it sucks having an inventory full of loot and having it all confiscated on death by a guard)

Millions, so much I've given up moving it all to a single character or banking it, I keep finding hundreds of thousands on Alts I had forgotten about.

Over 100k gold and you never need earn gold again.

There is no real gold sink in the game

Well that said, those who are rich are generally those who bother to help themselves, have crafting on a few characters and make their own gear.

People who don't, cry about 5k and can't understand how people can have 10's of millions and nothing to do with it

300k-500k

~400K cash and maybe 100K worth of "goods" in inventories/bank. All made from leveling/questing. No grinding, and have never sold any items to other players.

-Max'd bag upgrades on 8/8 slots. Max'd mount carry capacity on 6/8 (and working on mount speed now).
-Max'd crafters for everything but enchanting (44/50 on that one).
-Respec'd more times than I can remember. This is probably my biggest spend item overall. Even if a build is working well I often get bored and want to try something different.

I spend that a day on raw materials to do my Writts and make some potions....

To max your crafting make VR 9 items on a second character or loot the weapons and armour from cyrodiil on a vr14, improve them to green and then put em in your bank for your other alts to disenchant
