Need a way to preview gear

Please add a way to try on gear to see what it looks like before you buy or make it. We should be able to try on each piece of gear and maybe even dye them so we can create our own custom look without having to kinda guess, lets be honest, the little picture of the gear piece in the description is terrible.

    Would it be difficult for a third party (e.g., player/fan) to create a "doll" that maps the various gear and dyes? I am not a programmer so wondering. Because, that would be a wicked app.

    I would think someone would have already created an addon to do this, maybe they don't give access to the files needed to do this.

    After all the WORK Zenimax did to have this innovative and new thing of not having a preview equipment feature/dye in the game and here you all want them to make it just like every other mmo.

    Sigh.

    Don't you realize all of these things not in the game are "innovative" and "insightful" ways of doing things ?

    There is an ESO Fashion website but really this should be an in game feature and each time a 3rd party option is made you can bet the whiteboard at ZOS is cleaned.

    Meanwhile at the ZOS office:

    +1 from me as well. If they can do it for the crown store, they can do it for crafting tables, chat links, and Inventory items.

    But they won't because it won't make them any money. Everything is about DLC or the Crown Store now.

    Unless they sell "Scroll of Item preview" in the Crown Store.

    I challenge anyone to come up with one significant addition to the game since it went B2P that isn't in the Crown Store.

    People have been asking for this since PC launch well over a year ago. When the crown store first arrived on the scene and brought previews with it for costumes, we had such hopes that gear previews might not be far behind. Sadly, they have yet to show up.

    I know I want 'em.
