PVP DK Tank tips

Atm in pvp I'm rolling with
Sword & board
Skill1. Hardened armour
2. Reflective scales
3. Igneous shield
4. Ransack
5. Unstable flame
6. Ultimate- take flight


My stats are pretty low I could post what they are in the comments if anyone wants to know,
Attribute points
-Magicka 0
-Health 40
-Stamina 11

Second bar 2h
Skill1. Green dragon blood
2. Rapid maneuver ( I take off sometimes but for pvp it really can save LOADS of time )
3. Petrify
4. Wrecking blow
5. Stampede
6. Ultimate- standard of might

I usually swap skills for these 2 aswell
1. Choking talons
2. Extended chains

Any constructive criticism is much appreciated
-tips on what morphs I should have picked instead
What skills I have maybe overlooked that should be in their

I'm about a 3rd of my way through veteran 3 using mainly veteran 2 mixed with some vet 3 gear ( no sets )
I'm pretty much full heavy armour , I know I should stick 2 medium or light for stamina Magicka buffs but that's what I need to roll with for the time being at least.
My stats are pretty weak to say the least I will add them in if anyone has actually got this far
Im a vampire with NO fire protection so fire can be a major problem,

Max skill trees with the exception of 3 slots that I feel don't really need to be slotted right now
Ardent flame ( searing heat & world in flame )
Draconic power (max)
Eathern heart (1/2 helping hands)
Heavy armour (max except ultimate)
Vampire (max except savage feeding)
I'm a breton DK tank wish I picked a better race but (max skills anyway)
Provisioning is fine with alts
And a few skill points mixed in with the rest of the trees

Well your not going to be tanks by being a vamp.

Also for pvp your missing whip which is a main source of dps.

No because fire is used almost everywhere in this game. Also you have 75% less health regeneration that can kill you off as a tank.


If I were you I would respec and go with an inferno mage. I have never seen a Breton tank. IC will give you a free respec when it drops so that will save you the gold. If you are dead set on being a tank I would work more on the magicka build. Use what the DK is good at......Staying alive and outlasting your opponent! Green blood,Volatile Armor & Corrosive armor Also as @leepalmer95 said the whip is great for the dps tanks lack.


I wish I could help you out with your build be I don't pvp much. I'm a DK High Elf magicka tank that mainly does PVE. PS4

I also think that for DK the magica build is better for tanking. Recently I res-speced from stam to magica on my DK tank.
You can use Sword and shield and still get decent DPS with magica based DK abilities. You also have the ability to keep alive spamming Dragon Blood while holding block and taunting bosses with ransack in the dungeons. In PVP it also seems to be working better for me. You might want to consider it.

If you dont use batswarm or you dont gank(stealth alot) theres no point in being a vamp. U need.spiked armor and Dragon blood if your tanking. But your setup honestly is a bad tank with low dps watch some videos and decide if u want full tank or dps depending on your play style if your zerging or small group

First and foremost, you're going to have more luck speccing entirely into magicka. Or entirely into stam. It looks like you wanted to go stam tank but I can tell you magicka dk tanky spec has a lot more synergy. Your shields, self heals, CC's, buffs, all magicka. So going forward I'll recommend things that would spec you as a magicka dk- not a stam one. I just put my responses in bold bc im on my phone and way too lazy to quote every single thing, sry.

2. Reflective scales yes this one in general is tankier but dragon fire scales is more efficient. Deals extra damage on reflected projectiles
3. Igneous shield don't change a thing. Major mending from this ability = OP
4. Ransack take it off. Replace with flame lash
5. Unstable flame this is the stam morph. I'd recommend going magicka morph of burning embers instead. Then you Dan use your stam pool for cc break/dodge roll and blocking and magicka pool for skills
6. Ultimate- take flight

Too much into health and not enough into your damage pool. I generally like most into magicka. Touch of few into health and maybe very few into stam. I pref 24k health, 28+k magicka and 16k+ stam ideally.

Second bar 2h
Skill1. Green dragon blood I prefer coagulating. 8% increase in heals instead of major endurance which gives you 20% stam regen. This does not stack with the tri pot that you should be running.
2. Rapid maneuver ( I take off sometimes but for pvp it really can save LOADS of time ) take it off. More useful skills
3. Petrify morph to fossilize gg
4. Wrecking blow you have too many mixed types of skills. Remove 2h and run s/s or resto or destro instead.
5. Stampede above
6. Ultimate- standard of might

I usually swap skills for these 2 aswell
1. Choking talons good morph, I like this one
2. Extended chains only useful in specific situations in PVP

Im a vampire with NO fire protection so fire can be a major problem,
I love vamp for dk and many I know do as well. Vamp gives you devouring swarm which works well with battle roar to return stats. Also gives you elusive must which on a zero mobility dk gives you good mobility. Also SNEAK SPEEDZ.

Breton will be fine for magicka dk tank. Use your racials to your advantage.
